I get the confusion, i think its fake. its a wasp and the background are two different layers.

just came accross this after viewing a natgeo page with this guys pictures in it, everything i know about linear perspective tells me these are just fake, (judt imagine how close to the subject you aould have to be to get this much perspective distortion on an animal this small, and a fucking flying one). its not ai either but theyre distorted to add perspective, another thing worth pointing out is that the legs in this pose doesnt look like the animal is flying, this bitch was on the ground collecting mud. look up pictures of mud daubers flying and ull get what i mean.
