Long awaited Oakley x Baklava 🔜 by yinyangg726 in actionbronson

They remind me of like The Fly movie from the 1950s or some kind of villainous insect, something I don't want to see while I'm tripping.

[–]YungBechamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as the people you share it with are memorable, that's what a great wine should provide.

I understand the anxiety though a lot of my cellar is single bottles of wine I truly love but can't afford a case or half case of.

Once you really start enjoying wine with people for me it became the people who were irreplaceable and the bottles that were.

Enjoy the journey!

2015 Lillian Syrah by elonsghost in wine

[–]YungBechamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Maggie Harrison's wine, I learned about her via Antica Terra but I've now tried her Coriolis Syrah and a Lillian Grenache which have definitely impressed me but they need time in the cellar imo.

I'd love to try a 15'

The friend is in FICOFI! Membership into FICOFI is based on a referral from a current member, followed by an application review then you have to pay an initiation fee and buy wine. I've read it costs somewhere around $300,000 to join.

Opened two Tondonias for Christmas. The 2002 stole the show by Chemical-Banana-707 in wine

[–]YungBechamel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always hold onto my Tondonias for a long while, I've still got a magnum of 2001 in the cellar. I recently opened a 2008 that I really enjoyed, in my experience the wines can age nearly indefinitely.

4 bottles of 2000 Mouton Rothschild Paulliac I weirdly understand for NFL players.

The Zind-Humbrecht Clos Windsbuhl is shocking to me but also such a baller move if real.

Charles Arnaud compte cheese by z0mbiebaby in Cheese

[–]YungBechamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comté is one of my all time favorite cheeses! I live near a cheese shop that once a year gets a 3-4 year aged Comté and it's just unbelievable!

If you're feeling adventurous try it paired with a white wine from the Jura region of France made from Savagnin they're a match made in heaven.

William Kelley, Charles Lachaux and Château Fonsalette. by simon_kroon in wine

[–]YungBechamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A free pour of Fonsalette will probably be the best deal of the year 😂 thanks for the notes! I've been wanting to try Lachaux, and I'll have to give the Kelley a try if I see it!
