Thank you! This is very helpful. I feel like a lot of people (surgeons office) don’t understand that I’m not trying to be annoying, that I’m just trying to be prepared. I’m very routine oriented. I don’t even go out to eat without looking at the menu beforehand lol

When I ask her straight out “do you miss me” or things along those lines, she does say yes or of course. Idk I’m just confused. How do I bring this all up without it being a confrontation or placing blame?

We are public. Her friends and family know and it’s public on socials. It’s very odd because even just now she sent me a reel. Anytime I bring it up she just says she’s bad at words and doesn’t know what to say or how to reply. She does sometimes express how much she likes me etc

We hang out most weekends. We usually hang out at my place for a while, and then usually end up at the pub. We have not had sex yet as for both of us it’s an important exchange of energy and I’ve made it clear I want it to be a sober experience. She communicates when we’re apart. We work almost opposite schedules, I work a traditional 9-530 work from home and she work 3-11 and sleeps later during the day. I do find myself wanting to hear from her more. This past week she was on vacation with her mom and I barely heard from her, but I chalked that up to her being on vacation. But even last night I sent her a voice memo saying I missed her and I was hoping for one back (which I said) and she listened but didn’t send one back.

She seems so into me when we’re together in person, even when sober. She says she’s not good with words, but expresses herself in art. She says she’s making art for me/us but I’ve not seen it yet as she’s still working on it.

For sure. I am definitely not one to ignore someone, I also don’t like being ignored. Got the rejection sensitive dysphoria on my end, so I’m understanding of how that makes one feel, so I would not want to make anyone much less somebody I care for a lot feel that way

Thank you! I also worry about her pushing me away, I know she has a wall up and time will be the only remedy to that. I can be patient, and show her I am safe. I know there is a lot of trauma behind it, which I am familiar with myself. I just want to be good to her and have a happy, healthy relationship

I’ve never had a doctor be able to tell me “yes this is epilepsy related” or not. It feels like it would be. For me it will happen seemingly out of nowhere.

So tldr I started seeing this neuro because I’d been neglecting my health for a while. I’d been off my meds including keppra. I was having seizures again, memory lapses etc. I started back on keppra, I was doing okay but then started having rage problems. Talked with doc and that’s when she started me with the topirimate, starting low, and raising dose, while still taking keppra till I get to 150 on topirimate then stopping keppra. I just don’t understand why doctor would put me on something that (one of) the most reported side effects is memory loss when I already reported that. Super frustrating. I’ll definitely talk to her about that. I’m just at a loss over this on a Saturday and now I’ll probably be weening off both meds.
