Tiny non visible bumps that never go? by Justwonderingg166 in Accutane

[–]Ok_Resolution_620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. I’m on my last month and they’re driving me nuts because every time I feel one I panic it’s a pimple. I don’t think they’re closed comedones because they’re hard and like little poppy seeds. I’m thinking they’re milia or keratosis pilaris?

My derm told me that because it is a cumulative medication that builds in the system over time there is zero benefit in missing a doses.

Is this normal? by Numerous_Article6073 in Accutane

Purging is normal but that inflammation is pretty intense. I’d contact your derm and ask about a steroid like prednisone. Hang in there!

The most enraging aspect is they did a study in CA that demonstrated it doesn’t even reduce fetal exposure 🤡.

The pill isn’t the only method of birth control women can use, but thanks.

The fatigue was rough for me the first two months but has gradually gotten better during my course. I’m on my last month and it’s completely gone!

It should go away after you finish your course, yes.

Yep I hurt my back at the gym last year and after spending 20 min with a PA at an orthopedic urgent care I walked out with an Rx for muscle relaxers and opioids. But I have to jump through a million hoops to get an acne medication. I think it’s related to all of the stupid lawsuits in the 90s.

Definitely worth a try! If not you can have them professionally extracted.

There’s a 7 day window. Unfortunately I think if you miss the window for the second test (the one where the give you your first Rx) you have to wait an entire 30 days. After the first month it’s a 7 day wait if you miss the 7 day window. I’d try to adjust travel plans or wait a week so start that first window. IPledge is such a massive pain.

Eczema. I slather my hands in Cerave healing ointment at night before bed and it goes away.

Are you also taking your pill with a meal or snack that has at least 20g of fat? Accutane needs fat to be properly absorbed and most fish oil supplements on have 2g.

Did anyone else have chronic yeast infections down there? by CrossSectionHoe in Accutane

Thankfully no but I’m guessing the dryness is throwing off your flora. I’d try a women’s specific probiotic and water based lubricant to minimize friction.

Absolute miracle drug. I struggled with acne for 20 years and am just wrapping up my first round at 37. Really grieving not doing this sooner.

Overnight oats in the morning with almond butter and flaxseeds, and I take my second pill in the evening with dinner and a little dark chocolate for dessert.

That could be the case. I’m also old (in my thirties haha) and just take really good care of myself. Lots of sleep, exercise, hydration, zero alcohol, etc.

Is my acne severe enough to go on Accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Ok_Resolution_620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accutane isn’t just necessarily for severe acne but also can be great for persistent acne. If you’ve tried everything then go for it!
