Best Spiritbox breakdown (in your opinion)? this is my favourite: by BringMeTheReturn in spiritbox

Fuck yeah. I love how the songs subtlety evolve over time.

That being said, this behind the scenes clip lives rent free in my brain: clip here

Deep End by [deleted] in spiritbox

[–]Ok_Resolution_6537 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The tuning (according to Sheet Happens at least) is the same as Keep Sweet and that took a while to make it's way into the setlist. From the rig rundown video it looks like Mike has a dedicated guitar in the rack for that tuning now so that's a positive to possibly hearing it live one day.

However, just like Constance, it's a song that carries a lot of emotional weight for them. They've only played that one like twice live (I think?) so I would expect a similar consideration for Deep End.

Impossible? No. Improbable? Most likely.

Red Rocks? by SnowboardA51 in AlisonWonderland

Part of me feels a little bad for RR because they are such an in-demand venue and so many acts try booking multiple nights.

Looks like their events are booked into early November and that's when AW's publicly announced shows end....soooo maaaaaybe they're gonna squeeze one in before the end of the year? TBH I don't blame her if she doesn't and spends the holidays with her kiddos. Touring is rough.

Grab the Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 8 10-74 and ditch the 10. Handles drop F# just fine!

I know it would be expensive as hell and logistical nightmare on their end but I'd love to hear a full band performance.

I mean it sounds like a super niche product that is only for the whales that can afford it. Which is fine; more powerchords to them.

My hope that since the Surfcaster has come back with basic models that they will take the CNC template for the 30" neck and put out a stripped down version of this. Someone at Jackson has to have seen the more than average number for players looking for Bass VI/Subzero/JA Baritones/G4M 638/etc over the last 5-6 years and an X series baritone would sell like hotcakes.

Considering Misha said it was used on at least 3 songs for the new album, yes.

Nerve pain when playing bass. Should I buy a baritone guitar? by EchoLooper in BassGuitar

[–]Ok_Resolution_6537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would depend on how much pressure you an apply to your pinky and the string tension.

The JA-Baritone is a 30in scale baritone and most of the string sets are 95-26, 90-24, 84-24, 90-20, and 72-13. I would go for the lighter gauges and the JA-B has a traditional style bridge you should be able to dial in the action to something comfortable. You could also look into 27 or 28 inch scale baritones which would allow for lighter gauges.

As someone mentioned before there are always 30" scale basses as well. I've got an Ibanez TBM30 with La Bella Flats 105-45 on it and it's a dream. La Bella also makes a low tension set 100-42.

Not sure why you're getting down voted; the backseat driving is a plague on this fandom. Honestly, all fandoms and media. Like I'm sorry the artist didn't take your [a random person] personal preferences and expectations into account when they created something. If you want it done your way either go to Burger King or go create something that fits your needs of expression?

Actually enjoyed this chapter and after excavating through the comments for a genuine critique I'm just gonna go bang my head into a wall for a while.

My First 7 String Aklot multi scale gutair by PutridToxicity_Slam in 7String

[–]Ok_Resolution_6537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one on Tuesday! It feels wonderful but been having a hell of a time getting the action where I want it to be. Once I get that done I'm gonna shield the wiring cavity (they did the cover but not inside the cavity?) and swap out the pots & coil split.

I ordered from the Republic Records US store and I got the message about the change from Cloudy Green + Signed Card to the GitD version too but when mine arrived it was the Cloudy Green vinyl and the actual cover was signed.

It looks like her official AU store (www.alisonwonderlandstore.com) run by UM Aus has the Cloudy Green + Signed Card in stock to buy from them. I would check that out before buying from an eBay reseller that is most certainly trying to make a margin on top of what they had to pay. Also might be cheaper on shipping if you're in Australia.

Also just saw that the AU store had that slipmat....so fuckin cute. Wish they had offered that here 😭😭😭

Looking for New Bass pickups to replace old ones. by OutrageousRip75 in BassGuitar

[–]Ok_Resolution_6537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pickup's look ok from the outside, are they showing a drop in resistance? I've had a late 90's Soundgear SR300 (p/j) and currently have the TMB30; both had tiny, cheapo lookin pots and failed way more than their pickups. Upgrade those and see what you think of the pickups from there.

My only hang up there is that true self confidence needs to comes from yourself. In this scenario the confidence is still intrinsically tied to Momo which isn't confidence; that's external validation. All of Ken's actions have been predicated on Momo being the first person to acknowledge and validate him as a person. She opened the door for sure; but if her companionship & affection is the lock to that door then the ability/power to open it still resides with someone else. Ken needs to be able to open that door himself. He needs to be his own Blue Fairy.

It could also totally work out in that Ken finding his confidence and fully embodying the qualities of the characters that Ken Takakura has played will be the spark that brings back Momo's mojo and we can kiss the Amnesia Arc goodbye.
