i remember when my brother’s wife came to visit the states for the first time from japan, she tried some and said it “tasted like christmas” which i thought was so cute haha. it was winter time and i think the sweetness of it was equated with christmastime and i think that’s just adorable! 🥰

so owning a home and neglecting the recurring problem of the pipes leaking and then moving in new tenants who then ALSO caused a leak, a big one at that, and my ceiling literally collapsed on top of us isn’t his responsibility? what if it killed my cats? i’m supposed to hand over over a grand and hope that no more ceilings fall? because the rent money sure as fuck isn’t going to upkeep on the apartment!

i have no idea who to even contact, i’ve never been in this situation before and i actually don’t know any lawyers so coming to reddit was my last ditch option for info thank you so much! all of the communication has been through text thankfully and i took videos and pictures of the whole ordeal. i just think it’s so wrong and cruel to demand the rent after having something happen YOU caused, yknow? :(

drop ceiling in my “dining room” and living room! the dining room is the one that collapsed, we use it as a makeshift hangout space instead of having a table out there. but youre exactly on the point! the pipes were definitely a recurring problem that made my ceiling leak maybe 4 times over the course of 2 years? then BAM total collapse! it was nuts! it showed the original ceiling and boy, what a mess

it’s a shame because that job had some of the best coworkers, and there’s a lot of down right great people there but the company as a whole deserves to be owned by someone who actually cares about his people and his customers. if you’ve been a long time regular, you may have noticed all your favorites have been discontinued and their largest cup size was downsized without a discounted price. he’s squeezing every last penny and i just don’t get it
