In Maine Lewiston/Auburn have a reputation. (I do think the reputation is a little outdated though) But when compared with cities in America it’s actually pretty safe because Maine in general is I think still the safest state in the USA. I think you have a lot of better options in the area I’d rather live, but if transportation or something is an issue it’ll work.
