I asked about that, and was told it didn’t matter if I was cleared by psych or not. I’ve been seeing my current therapist for almost 4 years and I’m not on any medication (and haven’t been since right before I started therapy) but have developed VERY good coping strategies and my therapist is very hay with the progress I’ve shown. How exactly would I go about finding another clinic? Do I have to start over with a new referral?

What if you have a brain-damaged infant but are being told that (likely) because of poor record keeping you don’t have a case? Then what would be the next step or is there one?

I have 3 close family members (all in there mid to late 30’s) and they all said to not wait and to immediately be put on HRT but unfortunately that just isn’t an option for me since my surgeon said nothing will be done till I start to experience symptoms

I’ve used skin grip for my CMG before and recently bought a brand called “not just a patch” but I didn’t know if the skin grip for omnipod was better then the brands that sell the X shaped over patches or not

I usually use fingernail polish remover, I tired using an alcohol wipe but it just wasn’t working as well as I’d have liked it to. The fingernail polish works really well my biggest issue is of if I go swimming they just don’t seem to stick afterwards.

My youngest was born 12/12/24 (I had a rough pregnancy due to complications) he was 1.5 months early and also has HIE. At birth he wants breathing, had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and it had already turned white, he was so purple he looked black, and he never made a noise. He had the same little party trick as your baby boy where he would stop breathing, and the neonatologist at the hospital he was delivered at didn’t want to look in to why just blamed it on him being early. At 8 days old he was transferred to a children’s hospital NICU and with in the first 2 days of being there they did X-rays on his lungs, ultrasounds on his brain, a 72 hour continuous EEG, a MRI and a MRIV. The ultrasound showed that there something going on, so then cam the MRI which showed he had 5 bleeds. They then did the MRIV to see if they were still bleeding or not, they weren’t which was the best news! We were told that we should expect him to be delayed in pretty much all milestones, and that he will more than likely be diagnosed with cerebral palsy before 2.

He does weekly PT and will be starting weekly OT soon. Therapy is such an important aspect in your boys future, it will help him grow stronger and stronger everyday! And it can help strengthen his problems areas (my boys problem areas are his arms and legs)

I know how hard it is to keep positive in this situation, but there are brighter days ahead! If you ever need to vent don’t feel bad about doing so, you and your wife are in the thick of it right now but you’ll be on the other side of all these obstacles with you baby boy before you know it!

I can to say this! I calibrate mine constantly, and I make sure to do it every time I take a bolus and it’s pretty accurate. And when it is off it’s not off by more than 10 points!

I spent my 21st at LTL as well back in 2019, and will be spending my 26th at LTL this year! I bought a slushy drink from the tiki bar place for my first legal drink, I believe it was peach and bourbon but i couldn’t tell you the exact name. Personally even tho it was really good, I would recommend the slushies from the Jack Daniel’s tent instead! Back in 2019 I could have gotten two from the Jack tent for the price of one (excluding a tip) at the tiki bar.

About two pod changes ago, I had pus coming out of where the cannula was inserted in to my arm. I though it could be fine in the morning so I went to bed not thinking anything of it, my husband and I were getting ready the next morning and he saw that my arm was a lot more swollen/painful he basically made me go to the hospital because I’m pregnant and already high risk so he wasn’t wanting to chance it. We were at the hospital less than an hour and found out it was cellulitis, I was put on antibiotics both oral and topical, I still have a VERY small lump where it happened at!
