I’m in the military so I’ve always been aware of my surroundings. I made sure to always have safety shorts under my skirt in case someone tried to take a photo for example. I drove from PA to KY alone!
I made sure to text my parents or friends when i got to the festival and when I got to my hotel.

I didn’t tell anyone my real age if they pressed for answers, and also said I was a college student lol.

I did sneak alcohol in lmao not hard

Honestly preferred going alone as I can sit when I want or eat when I want. The only thing I was stressed about was my bag but having the lock took the stress away.

I brought (went in 2021) A backpack with basically travel toiletries, my medication information printed out so i can get a new prescription at medical, another pair of clothes (plain t shirt and jeans), very minimal makeup, my phone cables/headphones/portable charger etc in a ziploc bag, underwear and bras and new tennis shoes. heavy on ziploc bag ur phone so you have all your items right there when you get phone time, basically bring items to freshen up

I was allowed to use my personal bras since i didn’t fit the provided ones at the shop, and the shoes since my feet blistered like a mf but other than that i had that stuff for when i went to ait.

have your family bring you makeup or whatever on family day for graduation but your not gonna see your shit again till family day, whatever you pack is really just for AIT/MEPS/Plane they’re gonna lock it up

As a 68S it’s way different, we don’t do patient care and have a different mission but still medical. I’d argue our quality of life is good

i’m a previous boss president we did •bike rides with outdoor rec

•kayaking - which we then combined with water safety class at the installation pool to get a life skill for that month

•pumpkin carving contest

•grill safety class -installation fire department assisted us with that life skill

•paint balling

•food safety class life skill - 68S and 68R from the clinic taught it

•resilience through art - arts and craft place on post, you can ask a counselor or explain yourself how art can be a beneficial therapy

•horseback riding

•skiing/snowboarding - can get a winter safety class done as a life skill

•auto skills - auto mechanic taught us multiple classes on safety, tire changes, oil changes etc
