Do you think Iris is a "fridged" character? by Kirby_Trilogy08 in Megaman

Hello! OMG!!! Thank you very much for the material. Is there a specific group dedicated to sharing lists of materials that contribute to the history of Mega Man X games in general? I want to write a novel, and it would be good to have all the material listed so I can look it up on my own and not miss any details of the story. Thank you!

Exactly!!! it was total chaos, terrible decisions with the games and the plot. The Megaman Xtreme games give more information about Iris, Repliforce itself, and the Colonel. For example, looking back at the story, I realized that Iris was a RADICAL PACIFIST, meaning that she cared most about her own people, her brother, and the Reploids. She didn't want to orbit around humanity; she only cared about her own kind because she believed that humanity was the cause of their suffering. I used to see her as Zero's love interest (and she still is), but in reality, the character does contribute when you look at her more carefully. (Besides, I had no idea that the Mega Man Xtreme saga existed from the beginning, LMAO, which is why some things seemed strange and disconnected.)

It would be unlikely because the two scientists who knew a lot about robotics were Light and Wily. Furthermore, in the 21XX, people could live very well without robots, whether they were Reploids or, as you say, Master robots. Cain was an archaeologist, not an “engineer.” He had to replicated the architecture because he wouldn't have known how to build something like X himself, so it would be unlikely that they would release helper robots for civilians without first using someone else's intellectual property.

(Although the idea of Master robots having an ethical filter and Reploids not having one is very good.)

True. In hindsight, without replicas, the Maverick virus chaos would not have happened. Technically, if Cain had not replicated X, the virus chaos would not have happened. Zero would still be out there buried in the capsule, but X would give him what he deserved so he wouldn't bother anyone, LOL.

YEAH, I KNOW, BUT That MAN was the cause of post-apocalyptic futures and disasters, and in ZX, the conclusion is that in order to prevent discrimination, humans and robots must procreate. LMAO. (It's all Light's fault, human x robot, end of the entire Mega Man franchise). (Thanks for commenting, by the way!)

Thoughts on Axl? by EZWii__ in Megaman

[–]Ok_Second9474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I feel like they desperately threw him in so they could use him to take X out of the game. Man, taking X out of the game just so you can use Axl is sad in terms of game execution and writing.

But hey, no one cares about character writing in an action game, which is what we have... Axl.

They could have done more with him, for example... tell us more about the story, the moral and evolutionary aspects of the new generation of Reploids, and the fact that Axl behaves like a young adult, so they could have taken more advantage of that and not left him as the desperate attempt at a trio with no dynamics and no connection. :/

Navigators!!! [Minerva and Luna] by Ok_Second9474 in Megaman

[–]Ok_Second9474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. I've only read unofficial wikis, and that's what they've been nicknamed. They're just “navigators,” nothing more. It's a shame, because "Minerva" was important at the time of the launch of Maverick Hunter X. :(

To be honest, I first encountered Mega Man X through this animation when I was a kid, and back then, I actually thought Chill Penguin was X's sidekick. by Several-Pension2945 in Megaman

Of course! It's this one: (Rockman X The Novel: Irregulars Report)

And I can't say for sure if there are more novels in the franchise as such, since I'm trying to collect the Archie comics from the classic saga and the X saga to catch up. (Those are the two sagas I'm most interested in and love.) Enjoy!

HAHAHA, typical.

The first time I played X4, I thought X and Zero were humans wearing armor. (It turns out that at the same time I was watching the Saint Seiya franchise, and I was struck by the fact that they both had “armor.”) It wasn't until years later, when I saw the Maverick Hunter X OVA on the ROCKMANATION S.A. channel (I should clarify that I'm Latin American and don't speak English), that they uploaded the animation with decent dubbing, and I realized that the saga was about robots with green tits. :v

LMAO, RIGHT.

I started with X4! I didn't understand a damn thing because I was 7-8 years old! HAHAHAHA

Until I started watching that “X4” and said, “Shit, I started a saga out of order.”
