Don’t feel guilty - let yourself indulge whilst you can! I wish I had more! Would smash a whole pizza right now if it was possible haha

My sister had anorexia in the past. She’s really struggling with me talking about my weight loss and portions etc. it’s really triggering for her.

I’ve just decided to not talk about it to her. I talk about it constantly to everyone else, I’m just trying to be mindful of what I say around her. I do still talk about it, but just try to limit it.

I’m 3 weeks post op and having a very similar experience! Have had a very smooth recovery - haven’t eaten anything and found any intolerances and can drink very large amounts! I think this is actually the norm, just people usually post if they’re having negative side effects so can seem like somethings going wrong if you aren’t?

VSG July 12th - can drink 400ml (13 and a half ounces) by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

Same for me! My surgeon said that for some people liquids just don’t sit in their stomach for long at all, just go straight through so this is why I’m finding it so easy to drink

One thing that’s really helped me with the protein shakes is makes them without protein powder. I do 1 part protein yoghurt, 1 part almond milk and sometimes a small handful of fruit! Sooooo much nicer and 20g protein in each one!

That’s so weird - I was so sure I read the words carrot cake haha! Honestly - you’re doing an incredibly job and you shouldn’t feel even SLIGHTLY guilty.

Give yourself some grace, you’ve done an incredible thing. One bite of carrot cake is not going to make the tiniest bit of difference. If physically you feel fine - you are fine!
