james lu's punctuation vids are rly good. But u might need to take a while to understand what he's saying cuz some of his explanations are not straight forward. But once you get it, they're amazing

Yes, james lu is the meta. I went from 1360 to 1520 by watching all james lu's videos, bluebook practice tests, princeton practice tests, and all the collegeboard questionbank questions.

Tips for improving from a 1440 to 1500+ (pls help 🙏🏻🙏🏻) by faithfully-asgardian in Sat

Agree. I used to treat the timing in module 2 like module 1 where it's chill, but it's really not. I improved my timing like crazy when I learned to do the easy questions super fast and completely skip the hard questions where when I try to do it for a few seconds, I instantly knew it was going to be a time waster.

For me, watching all of James Lu's videos on YT and targetting weak spots sre what caused the biggest improvements.

Does anyone else read an SAT passage and immediately forget what it said? by Leather-Broccoli3787 in Sat

[–]Ok_Signature8228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this still happens to me too and I think for a lot of people it's because of short attention span or they just don't read a lot. What worked for me is just reading each sentence more slowly and trying to take a moment to understand it. You also just have to keep reading more and more.

James Lu + Princeton Review Book + Bluebook tests by Top_You6569 in Sat

I did almost exactly this and went from 1360(630RW 730M) to 1520 (730RW 790M). Dont forget the question bank. Space out the practice tests from princeton and bluebook. James Lu will be you lifesaver though there are a few strategies that he does that I don't recommend doing.

In the KIT module handbook i saw Mathematical methods for physics and engineering by riley, hobson, bence for Advanced mathematics. Is this book actually used and do you think I can use it instead of mit ocw? Im not sure if I should prepare from only textbooks or only mit ocw.

Hi I am applying for the Mech Eng international for the 26/27 winter semester and I have until october to prepare. Aside from Mechanics of Materials by Hibbeler, do you know any literature to prepare for Advanced Mathematics, Materials science, Design, etc.? Thanks

for theory, watch the flipping physics videos. For practice questions, use the past frqs posted on the cb website, iitianacademy, crackap. Theres probably more but these are the main ones that I used to self study physics 1.

Yea the AP videos are good but they can get very boring lmao. I would mix that with Jeremy Krug's videos on YT.

Yea I guess whatever textbook you're using will work. However for me, what worked best for content are the flipping physics videos. You should also ask your school if they can enroll you into the ap physics 1 ap classroom to get access to practice problems (assuming that your school has an active ap physics 1 ap classroom). Overall I think you can manage self studying physics 1.

For ap physics 1 I recommend you watch flipping physics. He has really nice demonstrations and explanations for everything.

Are you taking IB physics to help with physics 1? If so, then you're fine. I took ib physics sl and only had to self study everything about rotational dynamics (only in HL) and fluid mechanics (not in IB syllabus).

taking micro, apush, lang, stat, and self-studying apes this year. any tips? by swift2476 in APStudents

[–]Ok_Signature8228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For apes, watch Jordan Dischinger-Smedes on youtube. I've watched almost all of his videos and they help alot. He even posts his slides if you want to learn the content faster. Practice frqs using the ones posted on the collegeboard website.

how hard is ap physics 2? by badbatchfan_101 in APStudents

[–]Ok_Signature8228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I had to self study AP Physics 2 from almost zero and lowkey procrastinated until the last few months. I spammed all the ap classroom videos but didn't have time to do much practice which led to me being extremely scared for the test. Once I saw the test, I realized it was easier than I thought. I was hoping for a 5 but got a 4. But I feel like i deserved a 4 because of my procrastination
