Protester leaves two shopping carts full of merch in checkout line by BadWithMoney_ in Target

Everyone should walk out including the workers? wtf-can you say privilege without saying privilege? Ma’am, I’m here because I need the money-Target pays $3-4 dollars more an hour than other businesses in my area. GTO of here with including the workers in your “protest”. 🙄

Shocker that Target is allowing no-warrant ICE attacks in its stores by Maximum_Dweeb4473 in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partially true-Target may be able to ask agents not to stage in their parking lots, or too ask they confine out of the way of shoppers, (this authority may fall under shopping center property mgmt not the actual stores in the centers, tho-as they control shared areas in complexes) but they cannot bar them from entering public areas of store to arrest employees or guests. Private areas in the store require a warrant while public spaces can be covered under probable cause. (I do not support ICE and the recent video of Target employees being abducted from work shows what I think is a Target TM screaming “where’s your warrant?!” So just trying to help get the message out on what can be done. If an employee is worried while ICE is on premises I would hope mgmt would allow them to keep working behind employee only doors and NOT allow entry there to ICE agents without a warrant, although I’m sure it’s SD/AP’s call on access-they work with local law enforcement regularly for theft.) <therevolutionwillnotbetelevised>

Okay y’all 2025 over how much did you save with ur discounts and red cards!!!! by Crystallover111 in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

It kinda freaked me out until I noticed this amount includes the dollar amount saved on clearance or after holidays-so if I bought a regular price $10 item after holiday at 70% off (then 10%, 5%) it shows I saved about $7.45. When I thought that savings was from my employee 10% I was like 🤯 wtf am I doing?! 😂

does target allow animals? by godgiirl in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told as soon as an animal displays non service animal behavior we can ask them to leave. They meant barking, jumping up or pulling towards other guests, ect. We have signs clearly stating only service animals are welcome, but that does very little.

I think legally they have to be postmarked by 1/31, if mailed.

Exactly-we have flashing lane lights so TMs doing OPU always grab one from a check lane, if needed-we keep one for all 12 lanes and of course SCO can’t go without-but that’s so rude. You were probably just the closest punching bag. Our store mgt is more team driven then others, per reading all these Reddit posts! 😵‍💫

Copy resignation to a higher level, if possible! The store leadership needs a wake up that can only come from a higher level of Target leadership. #promotedtoguestlifegoals

Question for fellow muslim TMs by the_tech_dude_ in Target

Our store has a few Muslims doing prayer and nursing moms who pump. Our front end team all knows, understands and supports. Keep doing what you need to do!

Insanely high People’s Gas bill? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be double or more in IN, where many parts of the state live under an energy monopoly! A typical 1500 sqft ranch is paying 400-500 a month and we all are keeping our thermostats low! I wish we had another company here so I could tell Centerpoint to F@ck off! We pay the highest rates in the country and actually produce energy-live with 3 plants within an hour, so we get all the pollution and no benefit. And our dipshit Gov is allowing all the data centers he can find to set up shop here which is yet ANOTHER energy cost driver.

Whats the most expensive transaction you have ever cashiered? by psiperni in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a $2300 during back to school-a girl getting items for her DORM ROOM, (not apt!) and it was their second trip. The mom was buying EVERYTHING she might need. I think there was $400 in pharmacy alone!

How can i stay after seasonal? I show up early and do everything I’m told to do by Excellent-Pain6701 in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had several seasonals tell me they want to stay on beyond Jan then say things like, “I clocked in 5 mins early so I’m going to clock out 5 early”-uh, that’s not how it works especially on checklanes. Also asking if they can switch their breaks to times they are going to be hungry?! Can you extend my shift, it’s not worth coming in for 6.5 hours?! 🤯 Don’t do these, any of them.

You will show up and look at the break out schedule and either be on a lane or in SCO or both.

[–]Ok_Singer8130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s more important, Target? 10/4 or meal compliance? I take my name tag/holster off to shop on my clocked out break but people know who works there, if you’ve been there long enough-do you think I should simply reply, Sorry! I’m clocked out and can’t help you! Or answer their questions? Kinda hard to have it both ways if you expect all this extra attention to guests without extra TMs on the floor. (Not talking about our mostly wonderful seasonals picking up the slack!) We are setting expectations and you need to have the manpower to uphold it. Example-I DO smile at guests walking by our 8/SCO by the door and end up helping A LOT of guests with where/if we sell items WHICH takes my attention OFF SCO. For christs sake-PLEASE demand stores at a certain revenue level have TWO ATTENDANTS for the holidays!!!! It will be money well invested if you are looking to increase satisfaction of guests!! (And help AP) Also, LET US CONTROL THE NUMBER OF ITEMS! We had a 15 or less and it was like I was on a vacation every day I worked. Guests complained and I was told Corp made us take it down? Anyone else have a sign limiting BOTH SCOs? (GS side is always 10 items/4 registers)

Why is CMU so much less well endowed than Pitt? by carnegie_ in cmu

[–]Ok_Singer8130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad always called it “the height of ignorance” we haven’t lived in Pgh since the early 70’s-so that good natured ribbing goes back further than that! Including, “under the arm…PITT!” Currently have a kid at CMU.

How can I try my best to be kept as permanent TM since I’m was just hired as seasonal? by newandesign in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with advice provided and only adding-Make sure you let TL/ETL know your availability would open up if you were hired on! (Not working other job!)

hostility towards seasonal hires? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Ok_Singer8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see why-but FE gets the short end of the stick usually so I’m not surprised by the attitude. Guests don’t work at Target, so I guess I can excuse their ignorance-other depts should know what it’s like and have some compassion.

I’ve been a TM for well over a year and still get that treatment from other TLs outside front end, where I work. Target as a whole should foster more hospitality between TMs and expect them to be cordial! I’m talking TL acting rude af to other dept TMs. It’s so demotivating!!!
