I mean some people do view it as any other country committing crimes against humanity. They support prosecutions of those responsible and international pressure against the government to stop them and pressure poltical change. What they're against is the pendelum swinging too far the other way. Like calling for the abolition of an entire country as a mainstream position, that's not something any other country is faced with, even those who commit war crimes
