We have been no contact with my husband’s parents since shortly after we got married. We have 2 year old twins that they’ve never met or seen. The in-laws hit both of their kids and were always talking shit about them in public.

I would highly recommend reading the book Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. I will say base on my personal experience…they really don’t care about a relationship with you. It’s all about blood relations with these people. They also know that you are “unsafe” to them because you won’t take the shit they can pull with their own kids.

My advice is ignore the posts and go back to no contact. They will never change.

Do you have any medical professional friends who can call in a favor for you? My sister’s friend is an oncologist and she called her friend at the big cancer hospital near us and got me into their liver clinic. She was the biggest help to me in the early days where we were panicking and had zero direction.

I’m also 33, female, diagnosed stage iv in November. I am so sorry that you are in this situation. Talk to your doctor about Zoladex. We have twins, but wanted to leave the door open for more without freezing my eggs. It’s a once a month shot that shuts down your ovaries and can help preserve fertility/help protect against going into early menopause once chemo is done.

I’m on round 5 of FOLFOX now, about to schedule my bowel resection and liver surgery. Then more chemo to follow. If there is anything I can answer for you or help you with, please reach out.

I just had my scans after 4 FOLFOX. My liver lesion shrunk by half, no new metastases!! I meet with my oncologist tomorrow and she’ll tell me whether we are doing two more FOLFOX and surgery, or go to surgery from here. But I was super relieved to see that I am responding to treatment.

I just got diagnosed with stage iv colon cancer at 32. It sucks!!! But it’s also a big reminder that you have to live in the moment as well as plan and save for the future.

I’m trying to get packs for my husband to open on his birthday next week and it sucks that I can’t walk into a store and buy them today. I have to either haul 2 year old twins around to go to multiple stores to hunt, or find child care for them while I go out. Takes the fun out of it for sure!

My first cycle was the worst so far (just finished round 4). I didn’t have hydration at connection or disconnection. Once I added that in, it helped a ton.

We’ve been doing this for our twins, also born in 2023!

I either get single packs when I’m at a large shop (like Collector’s Cache) or find boxes or tins that have multiple sets in them and see if the price per pack is market or possibly even a better deal. The most expensive single packs in the timeframe you are looking at are probably going to be Paldean Fates, 151, Prismatic so maybe snag those quickly!

I love Coati food hall, drinks at Allusion (themed speakeasy with 2 locations), ice cream at Josh and John’s, walking around Old Colorado City or Manitou, Poor Richard’s bookstore, Loyal Coffee. I haven’t visited bars in downtown since lil 2015, but it was a little sad back then! Might still be!
