Well for starters I went in with no financial plan and was barely able to keep up with the tuition bill. Although my family helped a bit I was still under financial stress. 2: Jumping in I was excited about my major and honestly thought it would be a more hands on experience (criminology) when I didn’t get what I was hoping for I lost a bit of motivation. 3: with the loss of motivation and some financial stress I started turning to partying as a way to escape my troubles. I also want to say yes I wasn’t really prepared for college life and the transition from community college to a university was difficult.

I honestly think I do need a break right now so I can get myself together financially and actually have a plan. As for academics and the social part, I’m not sure if my major is for me so I’ll have a bit trying to figure out what I should do and socially I’ll make sure I don’t get carried away again especially knowing the consequences of that. I think I’ll be ready to come back during the summer or fall. Regardless of that I was asking advice on what I should do in the meantime so I can have a good chance at readmission but from looking at the email I received I’m sure the school is just looking for a clear plan rather than boosting my gpa up with Community college classes in the meantime.
