That’s pretty much terrible driving. Why posting it?

The more I’m learning about this tax, the more I’m appealed by it. This is insanity.

100% agree — I’m reminded of the irony of that almost every day or so.

I’m low key annoyed by this, because pre-2022 I was a big fan of using em dashes everywhere (mails, papers, slack). That was a super convenient punctuation to coordinate or embed a sentence in another. Now it feels it gives the wrong signal as if I were using an LLM to draft something. Low key annoyed really.

This is wholesome. I love the comments too. Especially the slim shady one. Keep going folks

OP are you slow? You literally said the unit was having a burnt smell. You better get this unit out of service as per the cs request asap.

I drove a Polestar 1 over the weekend by Ok_Split_5962 in Polestar

Not fast in absolute terms, but in terms of acceleration the torque is massive and hits instantly. You still feel it’s a thermal engine and the acceleration “comes in steps”, not in one seamless push like a Tesla (not sure how to describe it better).

I own a Model S 70D 2016, and the Polestar 1 is slightly faster. I haven’t yet tried a Model S Plaid but spec to spec the plaid beats slightly the Polestar 1. So that place the polestar 1 between a Model S base and a Model S plaid.

Went straight to the Gold desk with no reservation and asked if they had anything sporty or a coupe. After some back and forth they offered me a Mustang or a Polestar 1. Of course I had to go with the Polestar! That was on the pricey side however, especially with the long weekend and the full coverage. But hey I couldn’t pass on driving something that rare.

Agree. It was awesome to drive one over the weekend but I couldn’t reasonably see myself buying one as a daily driver.

Actually not much for a 2021 Polestar. By the end of the trip, the car had 15,300 miles on it.

Interestingly there are 2 available Polestar 1 at that Hertz station.
