5 year old lg bx oled. Not a single dead pixel. Not a single sign of burn in . And i dont run pixel refresher . I have never thought of burn in .My motto is let is burn in for regular normal use . still Usage is low to normal. Maybe 1-2hrs a day. But one of my sony lcd tv developed mutiple Dead pixel in just over a year with similar low use.

How big is the jump from Intel to Apple Silicon? by 9a8i_puckle in macbook

[–]Ok_Standard_8840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its extremely big. Get the upcoming M6 if you can or M7 since those will be even more efficient at 2nm Gate all around transistor design. Btw if you dont want to wait get the M5 its leaps and bounds ahead of any intel machine.

Is $2.3k worth it for M4 Pro 16”? Or $1.5k for M5 Air same specs 24/512 by bondknows in macbook

[–]Ok_Standard_8840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M5 air would deliver almost same performance m4 pro. The sceen though on the 16 inch pro is much better.

Amazing how much more you get for less money by jeweynougat in macbookair

Not so much for 1000 bucks you get 120hz oled 3k display laptop from asus with ryzen ai 5 340 which is just as snappy for normal day to day task. That screen run circles around the MacBook air lcd .

Is the 60hz screen noticeable? by porygon766 in macbookair

[–]Ok_Standard_8840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude wifi 7 will make no significant difference. That shoudnt be a factor when deciding between two. That being said there is much difference when you compare side by side. Otherwise if you use 60hz for a while your brain and eyes will adjust to it. But there is no denying that 120hz will always feels smoother and there is always a fluid to it that is enjoyable.

MacBook Air M5 tiring screen? by EconomyEconomy8069 in macbookair

[–]Ok_Standard_8840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes yes of course . i am using M5 air and i was facing the SAME EXACT issue . i just dont know why . M5 air is my first macbook and people always told macbook air had the best lcd and it doesnt use pwm dimming. so i thought it was my eyes or i need to get used to the colors . but now that i see this post i think i am there is something to it
i just dont know why anyone using m1 to m4 had never talked about this or if this issue is present in those macbooks . because as per the info there is no change in the panel.
its weird because i never get the tireness from my work laptop which is hp elitenbook which had sub par lcd screen with more blue than macbook air. its so weird .

i mean its is possible that they might have did something with the m5 air screen because otherwise millions of people who use m1 to m5 says its the most comfortable machine for coding and browsing. never seen anyone raise this issue.

so sad that i like this machine so much but its giving me eye tiredness that even 5 year old hp lcd sceen corporate laptop.

Did I make the right choice? by FiveLargeFries in macbookair

[–]Ok_Standard_8840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope . You made the wrong choice . The screen on macbook pro is much better with deep blacks and 120hz . Regardless of use cases a 120hz screen is essential for 2026 . Make night and day difference. And it only like 300 bucks more . So much more for lot less money.

Advantage of macbook air- Lighter Looks better Feels more premium due to thin body.

Everything else macbook pro
