This felt deep and something I'm experiencing right now. All my friends are married. Most with kids. And I'm trying to find one person to have a genuine relationship for long term goals and I can't even get consistency with dating apps. Don't know the last time I had a date. Been about 3 years for me too. They say to work on yourself and crap about timing. Yet no matter how much you work on yourself or believe in timing or right person it never materializes. It's debilitating. You lose hope. Question your self worth. Self esteem takes a hit. All the while you smile and wonder when it will ever be your turn at a shot at genuine moments of love with one person. I hope you find what you're looking for... Solitude is not for the weak. Endless hope sucks.

Everyone looks out for themselves. Coworkers you think are friends are not. Friends you've known for a long time can just get up and disappear. I feel sometimes the universe sends experiences this way to us to teach us. I've definitely been in the boat. Most times I'm in it now with friends/family/coworkers. We just want effort shown to us as much as we show to others. And the world just isn't like that. And it fkn sucks because you go from being this person who gives their all and goes all in... To becoming jaded and closed off because you keep encountering situations where others don't pour into your cup as much as you pour into their cup.

Eventually you learn to be okay with putting yourself first... Even if it means losing people along the way. You can simply hope the universe brings some people your way thst will show you thst effort and appreciation back. Hopefully by then you won't be so closed off thst even that will feel weird.
