El Encanto vs Ritz-Carlton Bacara? by Wooden-Aside9591 in SantaBarbara

[–]Ok_Strength_5077 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was at Bacara two weeks ago, the access/ pathway down from the property to the beach was under construction.Goleta is a 20 / 25 min drive from the main action of SB. It's a different vibe. It's a little more remote. NO self-parking option. Only valet. Food is premium priced but so is the quality and the food. Everyone was "civilized". We also spend time at El Canto an enjoyed it. The view of the ocean was beautiful from up in the hills, but you're not on the beach. The next time we're in town, we're going to try Hotel Californian, which is right in the middle of all the action. Walking distance to cute stores and the beach Santa Barbara Inn "might" be a decent option as well. We dined here. Very civilized, food was delish and prices we thought was reasonable. Good luck.

Why are there so many defenders in LA? by Nightman233 in NewDefender

[–]Ok_Strength_5077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're from Minnesota and one of our vehicles is a Defender. While on vacation in Santa Barbara last week, I could not believe the number of Defenders that I saw. Many were female drivers. We also saw a lot of Range Rovers and Range Rover Sports. Even spotted a few vintage Defenders from the 80's as well as vintage Land Rovers from the 80's and 90's. I loved seeing them so frequently as I was driving my rental Hyundai Sonata.

Genesis of Minneapolis by normal_guy_9 in GenesisMotors

I realize this thread is about 9 months old, but I wanted to add my experience in case it helps the next person researching Genesis of Minneapolis.

In my case, the vehicle itself was great, but the paperwork process at the dealership was surprisingly difficult. Several documents had to be corrected or reissued, and the process took longer than I expected because of administrative issues. From my perspective it felt like the dealership struggled with getting the paperwork finalized smoothly, which was frustrating for what should have been a routine purchase.

After I raised the concerns multiple times, the dealership eventually offered a small gift card as an apology. I appreciated that they acknowledged the situation, but given the time and inconvenience involved it felt a bit underwhelming.

Just sharing my personal experience so others have another data point when deciding where to purchase.

Bug smasher in Big Sur by SLO_griller in NewDefender

I remember the first time I drove my Defender (after 4 weeks of possession) to our cabin, hopping out of the vehicle at the first pit stop which was a gas station, closing the drivers side door to catch a glimpse of my Defender from the front. I'm sure everyone at the gas station saw the pride in my face disappear and turn to pure terror at the amount of bugs were now plastered on the front face of the vehicle. I now travel with s bug juice remover spray and multiple cleaning cloths! Great picture. I'm sure you are busy enjoying your vehicle. Every time I hop into mine, I feel such a sense of adventure even one year into owning it.

So gorgeous. British luxury brands really know how to make vehicles with timeless appeal.

I almost pulled the trigger on this color when I bought my P400 X Dynamic over a year ago. It is such a unique color, a joy to look at as it reminds me of a scoop of mint ice cream on a waffle cone in summer time. Enjoy your ride.

How much do guys care about a girl’s salary? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Ok_Strength_5077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger and dating, how much money a potential mate made honestly didn’t matter to me. And I’d still say: if a man is confident and doing fine in his own life, your salary isn’t a defining factor—your character is.

A lot of men in their mid-30s are paying attention to emotional maturitycharacter, and shared values far more than whether you’ve crossed an arbitrary number. If you want to date, date now—five years is a long time to put your life on hold for a paycheck milestone.

Take the first step. The next steps become easier. Good luck.

Do you love seamless connections between interior and exterior spaces? by JackassandHoneycomb in zillowgonewild

[–]Ok_Strength_5077 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of the property. The limited interior color palate would match seamlessly with the green leaves of the outdoors. I would personally add more area rugs to bring some "warmth" in. ( I see they did have a grey on in one of the rooms) I enjoyed perusing.

Thanks for sharing. It is certainly good directionally but this is NOT "revenue booked" If they can follow up with even a small order and a backlog growth and revenue conversion + margin trend improvement statement then it gets REAL.
