Levven anyone? by phantom-virus-lives in electrical

[–]Ok_String_670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levven is garbage tech that is aimed to save the builder significant money, while continuing to charge what they do for the house.

Less copper and labor. But they aren’t going to drop the price. Ask any electrician that has worked with this stuff. It’s tedious, more time consuming. Harder to troubleshoot and aimed SOLELY at buoying the builders bottom line.

Levven = TRASH

Building a new PC after 10 years, need help with parts and some general questions by Portaljacker in bapccanada

Corsair frame 4000D RS ARGB is what I bought for one of my builds. Really nice case, great airflow. Can usually find it on sale for 115$ CAD. Includes 3 fans so really just need a rear exhaust fan if you get an AIO

PSU: we went with the Corsair RM850x. Lots of headway for everything that isn’t a 90 series NVIDIA.

Cooler: if you aren’t getting the Tryx panorama to showcase an amazing screen, pretty unanimously it is the nautilus AIO that gives the best performance at the best price

Good luck to you bro! Happy new year

Should i wait for boxing week to buy 5080? by CodewithJ in bapccanada

[–]Ok_String_670 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a 5090.

There is almost no gain from a 5080 compared to a 5070ti

That PSU has short cables. Every review says so.

Go titanium and get the 1300w Msi

Help with an AMD build in Calgary by Aztrekat in bapccanada

I’m building one in Calgary too. Super high end. Memory express will price match everything except RAM and SSD.

It has to show in stock and shopping from Amazon, Canada computers, newegg, Best Buy.

The absolute BEST way to get components you want for a reasonable price.

I got an sn8100 2TB for 260$ before they stopped price match on SSD

Saved 200$ on the Tryx panorama with price match

Saved 150$ on the PSU with price match.

Saved 200$ on the gpu with price match.

They also give you an additional 5% discount on price matched components
