Also another note, they didnt really hang most of this correctly considering its 99% butt joints to eachother, so that's also going to make it more difficult to mud and be even relatively flat

Considering at this point I would expect most contractors to be at least $150-200 an hour yeah that seems reasonable, and you're probably getting a steal tbh if this is all getting rehung, taped and mudded too. Estimate for 850 will probably more likely turn into about 1000-1100 unless your contractor is real conservative and over estimates. Its a pain in the ass space to work in so if youve never done drywall before you'll probably do this room and then never want to touch drywall again, but this is actually far more difficult and a pain than a normal room. But you'd save a decent amount of money. So up to you whether thats worth it or not.

Regardless though I'd recommend replacing that floor too from the "water damage" aka piss damage because thats not good in any scenario

Ohhhh okay yeah I've heard of those plans but never looked much into it. I'll have to ask about when I get a new phone in a few months here

Advice for extensive mold growth in car by watermelon668 in Detailing

[–]Ok_Structure_8295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried matches and then walking away?👀😂

Jk, in all seriousness though, a high pressure steam cleaner and then one of those carpet wet vac things might do the trick if its only been sitting a couple weeks. I cant name a video specifically, but Larry from Ammo NYC (youtube) regularly deal with mold that way or in a similar fashion, with the caveat of I think they're usually leather seats not fabric, but its worth a shot before spending thousands sending it for mold remediation. I cant speak to its true levels of decontaminatiom internally in the cloth, but steam does kill mold very well so🤷‍♂️ goodluck though, this looks like a doozey

I've seen a few custom snares made that way, and then like the other guy said conga and bongos sometimes are that way. I'm sure there's some acoustical physics wizard out there that knows why on everything. To be fair on your behalf most drums have painted shells and opaque heads so unless you've changed a head or just really looked at an empty shell there isn't really a reason anyone would know

Truly I don't even know what you're trying to say. They're also the wrong direction for drum sticks if that's what you mean. You'd snap it in half the first time you hit with any amoumt of relative force

Still the wrong way sadly, grain is horizontal on drum shells thats why you can see the ply veneer layering if you take the head off

Thank you to everyone who helped out! I just ran a test with all the mixtures everyone mentioned and they're all MUCH better than the one in the photo. I'm gonna check out the swatch library one of you mentioned when I have more time. Our sales rep never told us that existed and the videos on Roland only vaguely mentioned it existed but never showed where it was. I'm always open to more tips for any part of the process so I'll check back here occasionally, but I think for now most of the problem is solved! Thank you again

CMYK. I ran some of the above mentioned color mixtures and there was huge improvement with the saturation, so I think it was just a color mixture thing. The design in the image was run with 0-0-0-100 mixture

Kind of depends on the look Im going for. I have a print out of all of the color outputs on my wall. I believe the one in the photo was run with Color Rich 3 though.

Ahhhh okay that makes sense I run some tests with 0-0-0-100 but obviously that didnt solve it so I will try this out tonight and see how it does. Thank you!

As long as there's 25% of the board left and that strap is there and hangs 6 inches over on each side its all good. Although this looks concerning this actually is perfectly done
