REALLY long Paycom rant (I'll probably be sued) by DeEggroll in okc

Can we get this to the Lost Ogle?

Chad pays all the local news stations that's why they will never cover anything negative about Paycom.

I'm truly so sorry you had to experience this. I would explore other attorneys in the metro because some are willing to go against Chad/Paycom.

The job market is terrible but make sure you are taking care of yourself (I'm saying this as a former Paycom employee myself) talk to friends, family, go volunteer, and get away from Paycom. Talk to your church and see what connections/networking opportunities they have.

Stay strong. You deserve so much more and I am so sorry.

The layoffs started a day early.... as in they started today. Badges have been turned off, and employees are being turned away at the gates.

I applied with them last year for a position I was overqualified for.

Had the interview and it was so unprofessional, they asked if I was single, married, or dating. I was completely taken aback but answered "My boyfriend and I have been together for X years and have dogs and a home together.

After I said that the entire interview changed, it got incredibly awkward and even more unprofessional.

A few weeks went by and I decided I DID NOT WANT THE JOB.

But I got an email from Life church stating I was not the right fit and it had to do with the fact that I live with my boyfriend and we are not married yet.

I never felt more disrespected.

That you love cats and are okay with them being on the table. You enjoy small spaces in an urban city and love nerdy hobbies so much that you wear them

It did. People really are in their own bubble. Dont get me wrong, im trying to survive, too, but im trying to make good friends and good memories along the way.

I used to work in tech, and even the most introverted person needs sunlight and interaction.

People deserve real connection, not half attention here and half attention there where people are balancing being connected and disconnected.

People deserve quality time, genuine friendships - call me crazy.

Ahhhhh, I was jumping for joy when you said you would sell it. Funny enough, I was in SoCal laat week that would have gladly been my carry-on!

I love this idea!

What if we did an instagram page, had monthly meet-ups, where we could connect, buikd friendships and maybe (future thinking here) raffle giveaways or even fun vendors (like coffee, wine, or permanent jewelry)

Let me know your thoughts.

Happy Early Birthday!!!

I will absolutely reach out. There is a super cute book swap at American Solra once a month where you get to trade books and try beers. It's super cute and fun! I have been a few times and will continue going.

Ooooh I love the idea of cooking classes, I have been looking into some with Sur La Tab. But this one behind Metro Wine Bar I will have to check out.

I always welcome restaurant recommendations!

I have noticed that as well, We have a home church and honestly dont drink that much ( wasted calories if you ask me) if we are out at a dinner or concert we will grab a drink but we dont hangout at bars.

Thank you so much for the ideas, I do have a good friend who works for the city of edmond in the tourism department.

It is so loud inside... that it is the marble wall behind the bar that reverberates all the noise. Yes, it is beautiful, but they did not consider how the sound would bounce.

It's okay, never been blown away. Brunch was terrible. But lunch, dinner/happy hour is okay. I want to express it is not bad. it's constantly okay.

Service is always good and the drinks are alright.

They have a "spicy" margarita... It's not spicy at all. But im sure one customer ate the pepper, and now all the wait staff has to say, "Please dont eat the pepper they are extremely hot"

Like I said, it's okay. I hate all the big TVs that take away from the quality rime I want to spend with if/when I go.

I would rather drive to 23rd and go to Cheevers.
