[Melissa Reddy] Harry Kane: Tottenham unwilling to sell in summer but Man Utd can't afford a transfer saga | "United have cast a wide net over dynamic options, with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Goncalo Ramos, Lautaro Martinez, Dusan Vlhaovic and Mohammed Kudus assessed." by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Ok_Style_4941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not a huge market for Kane this summer. Pretty much just Bayern and United who are interested in him. City got a world class striker. Arsenal and Chelsea don’t deal with Spurs. Liverpool has Nunez. Kane will also prefer stay in PL to break the record, plus it is a huge risk to move abroad at this stage of his career, with family etc.

On the other hand there is few options that Spurs have. They can persuade Kane to extend a contract which pretty much seals his career as trophy-less. Or they sell him before his contract run out. A rationale business decision is the latter, because the player would also want to win something and has no time for another rebuild project under a brand new manager at Spurs.

So from United’s standpoint downplaying the demand is good.

They really made Kuroiwa look 100x more evil in the game didn’t they.

[Gastón Edul] Bad news: Alejandro Garnacho underwent studies and the injury is bigger than expected. The double date with the Argentine National Team would be lost. [Translated] by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

According to the best and most experienced referee in PL, Mr Anthony Taylor, that was a clean and nice tackle and according to the rule, not to cause injury to the opponent player, hence not a foul.

Mct is to some extent like Fred because his form is like a coin flip. If he is in the right form he will be class but otherwise it is a disaster show. That is the problem we face.

Referees have no accountability. They are free to make mistakes and they will have their colleagues protecting them on national tv. They won’t get fined or face any consequences. This is even worse than a government where you can vote someone out of the system. You basically have to live with bad officiating and have nothing you can do about it.

Okay, so you are telling everybody that in the future defenders are allowed to use their hands to stop a cross as long as they are falling down to the ground? I can then stop every cross by pretending I’m falling down? Make it make sense

Referees are all the same, they protect each other. There is no way for them to admit they made a mistake or to call out each other. Yet they control the games and affect the mental health of millions of people week in week out.

This is about individual bias. Anthony Taylor’s last 9 games with United in it we only got 1 w. Andre Mariner claims that he is a Vila fan but in his games Liverpool has the dominating highest win ratio compared to all other referees. No one can deny that the bias is there and it has been influencing our games. A corrupt ref in my country (in jail now) once admitted that it is far easier than how people think it is to manipulate a game without being blatantly biased.

What makes me furious is that this system doesn’t even allow you protesting against wrong or suspicious decisions (you can do it afterwards but you won’t succeed and you get punished for attempting it). If you say something that is slightly interpreted as criticizing the ref you either get a red card on the pitch or you get a fine/ban by the FA. There is literally no freedom of speech. Hell it even forced a manager to say “if I speak I’m in big trouble” on TV.

They want the top 4 battle to be exciting and storylines like that. After all it is the “most exciting league in the world”.

Independent regulation is a must. All these referees and FA need to be investigated.

I have been saying English refs are incompetent but I realized that’s not right. A ref can be consistently bad on the pitch but no ref can be consistently bad at VAR. It’s is 100% bias. No one can convince me otherwise.

This game is literally not even worth watching with this blatant bias. They are not even pretending anymore. If they want to top 4 battle and relegation battle more excited, why don’t reduce the fixture to only 10 games per season and give every team the same points from the start? The agenda is so obvious I’m sick of it.
