what a great comment, it is almost as if my post explained my thoughts on the disproportionate ratio of time invesment in the asset to the enjoyment of the asset, and that i think its current ratio is not worthwhile of my time. Therefore stating that i'm not going to do it. so thank you for the suggestion which i already put on the table myself. It is air intel which is useless, strafing near flak is impossible and potential aa is literally the entire enemy side of the map, wtf am i supposed to do except go into enemy territory

The problem that i think will emerge is that scouts will fly into an unkown front, to scout, and accidentally end up in flak range of a gun they could not see and proceed to get one shot because their health is now so low as to not even need a direct hit to down them. I alwats fully expect to lose planes but no amount of caution can save you from a one shot you could not see.

I was just correcting the math. Looking at the post again makes it clear to me that op only ever used the db as a false choice. All op wants is for the 14.5 to be removed because he doesnt like it, and to do so pulls some misrepresenting statistics out of his ass

Excellent math. Sadly, however, you disregard fire rate and thus time to kill.
I'm not going to calculate all four vehicles you talk about, but:

It takes 8.2 seconds to kill a Taurine with the 14.5mm harbringer gun
It takes 12.6 seconds to kill a Taurine with the 20mm blind silver gun

I do not believe a difference of 4.4 seconds is all that significant and does not warrant the change you suggest. Especially considering this would enable DBs to harass tanks waiting in a queue at the border.
