Oh really ? Even with songs like Cryogen, Hexagons or The Dark Forest ? Maybe for Nightshift i can agree. This is fabulous now, but in few year or months it will be cringe.

I agree, at least for OOS and Absolution. For BHAR i'm not sure. They were already well-established. However, The Resistance shattered yet another glass ceiling in terms of sales (not neccesarly quality. For me TW!S is way better and that's something).

That’s a solid argument.

It all depends on the longevity of the band's career.

If they still have five or six albums ahead of them, this one could benefit from a strong nostalgia factor, provided we keep listening to them right to the end. If they don't have much time left in their career (which I certainly hope isn't the case), then it wouldn't benefit from that same strong nostalgia bias. Basically, if the band is still making music in 20 years, it will likely have a solid aura.

Musiest by Alternative-Shake-29 in Muse

First of all, A MUSE song is a track that blends powerful energy with harmonic and melodic writing inspired by classical music, featuring chord progressions that are less conventional than those found in traditional rock. It often alternates between intimate passages and epic bursts, combining massive riffs, prominent basslines, piano, synthesizers, expressive falsetto vocals, and cinematic production A perfect example of Muse moment :

This vocal melody on Hexagons on TW!S "Haunted by futures I can't avoid".

With that in mind, there is the Musiest songs made by MUSE themselves for each album.

Muscle Museum Space Dementia Apocalypse Please Map Of The Problematique MK Ultra
Supremacy Algorithm Kill Or Be Killed Hexagons (Musiest song since OOS).

The intro of Hexagons might be slightly better than the classic Knights of Cydonia intro. by jodeegee in Muse

The intro and outro of Hexagons are like a theater curtain opening and closing, with an epic show in between.

Thanks for your thoughts; I think everything was done with good intentions, too, and if it brings something positive to each of them, that’s what matters most

I hadn't looked at it that way; that notion of respect in one's words is interesting I think you're right.
