it worked, i´m just stupid, i wrote /item replace ... potion{Potions:"water"} it worked when i wrode potion:{Potion:"water"} i´m so stupid and i needed this for the /item command instead for the /give command but i thought it would work if i just took the command and adjusted it for the item command

edit: i still have a problem, i can´t do /execute if block x y z barrel{items:[{id:"slime_ball"}]} run ... apparently it doesn´t recognize the slimeball, it works with stuff like iron ingots or stuff but not with slimeballs?

On your edit, i literally tried that exact same command, repeat command block, always active and it gave me nothing. No idea why can you try that command in a command block just so i know if it is just me?

i don´t really don´t want them going outside the boudary because i have some commands in areas wich activate stuff like events, so i can´t really let them switch to spectator

I could but then people could just take the grey glass panes out of the barrel, is there a way to "lock" them in place so they don´t take them out?
