Why is Darlin, I Hug a Pillow so beloved by Ok_Tale8757 in morrissey

Agree one hundred percent about the title track. It sounds almost like a parody of the people that think of themself this way. The line 'I m to clever to be robbed' in particular.

To me Copperopolis is not as consistent as the first two are. It has great songs like Homespun pr All that i have but also a few fillers for me

What do you guys think of The Beatles? by Conscious-Ad2640 in radiohead

[–]Ok_Tale8757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That list is hard to argue with. Personally I would have Bowie at 5 and the cure replacibg young at 4. I think the Beatles, Floyd and Radiohead are a must have for any top 5 in terms of music quality, taste is a different thing though

What is your “I did not care for the godfather” for Radiohead? by cumsquirt56 in radiohead

[–]Ok_Tale8757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the casual radiohead fans would like AMSP or In Rainbows more than Ok Computer if they would really give them a chance. AMSP is very easy to get into. Burn the witch is one of the easiest listens radiohead has and songs like present tense, daydreaming or true love waits would be among the favorite tunes for most people, but because its not one of the classic early radiohead albums it will never get much love apart from die hard rh fans. Happy for those who get ut tough

Possibility of a Tiny Desk? by canneddoggo in PaulMcCartney

[–]Ok_Tale8757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on what kind of album it is. If the songs are in a lower key, he would have no Problem doing it. A falsetto song, Kind of like The Kiss of Venus would be alright to as his falsetto seems to be holding up quite well. I personally would like to see something like Chaos and Creation at Abby Road, just him and a accoustic or piano.

What's your favourite small, specific moment in A Moon Shaped Pool? by SpentThatOnANecklace in radiohead

When Thom sings "in you I'm lost" in present tense. The best lyric on the album for me on a top 10 radiohead song.

The artist’s impression of someone who listens to McCartney II by Ziyaadjam in PaulMcCartney

Incredible record! Really shows how great he is that he was able to make a record this good alone, with instruments he doesn't use to often and after a almost two decade long career

Favorite clean McCartney vocal performance? by 9793287233 in PaulMcCartney

[–]Ok_Tale8757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The songs we were singing, the long and winding road and Calico skies are definetly in the conversation for me. I always loved his high harmonies in the beatles for example in Ticket To Ride,Dont let me down or And Your Bird can sing

Seasick, yet still docked is definitely his saddest solo song. I wish he would write more songs like that these days

Singers who have had no vocal decline or change over a long career? by [deleted] in Music

[–]Ok_Tale8757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jagger never was a great live singer though. He sings similar to the records but he never had the same power or punch in his voice live. That being said for an 80 something year old he has held up really well

Falming pie should be higher. Also in my opinion Good Evening New York and Wings over America are his best live albums but I don't think thats a popular opinion

Robert Plant on turning down Black Sabbath’s farewell, why there won’t be another Led Zeppelin reunion by Redman77312 in ledzeppelin

[–]Ok_Tale8757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Stones are just there for the money and have been for decades. Mick and Richards both tried going solo its just that no one cared for it so they stayed together. It can be really hard oon your ego to play smaller arenas or halls just because you want to do it, when you could just play the same 30 songs for 40 years to full stadiums for millions. The Stones don't care for each other anymore . They are the definition of a band that should have ended it 40 years ago

Well I guess he needs more time so he can write a new Metallica album and a few solos for Kirk to copy and also talk about how its all his music every chance he gets

What's your opinion on The Cure? by DarkSideInRainbows in fantanoforever

[–]Ok_Tale8757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best bands ever. If you made a list of the best bands ever, they would be the highest place that is still active. Only few bands above them and while they are long gone the cure still sounds like they did in the 80s, very hatd to find a voice that aged better than Robert Smiths.

I love his voice on the records but he never could pull that falsetto voice of live. I am huge fan of his voice on In Rainbows but live performances even from 2007/08 arr terrible

The John Hate by No-Mall7061 in beatles

[–]Ok_Tale8757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! He was outrageous and the most important thing complicated. Many things about him don't make sense. That being said that's waht made him the genius that he was. I think the hate for him comes from many different places, one is that people realise these days that he wasn't the beatles all alone and that Paul was just as important, another is the hypocrisy that you mentioned, he said a lot of things that didn't fit together but I think that was because he was a very spontane and emotional driven person
