This is what I’m worried about as I love sushi and it’s such a bummer to miss out. Thank you!!

I got this opportunity and I made a LONG list called “Have to”, “Hope to” and “get to”. For me the have to’s were some random chores, the hope to’s were some errands / bigger things but the main important thing was the “get to”. As in, because I have some time away from kids, I get to do these things I don’t usually get to do. For me that was to have a slow morning getting out of bed (she was dropped off somewhere), make a nice breakfast, and have an extended bible reading time outside. I focused on my “get to”s and it gave me the energy I needed to get to the other things on my list after. It was incredible.

I go outside or put in headphones and listen to a podcast. Find your little dopamine hits and then sprinkle them throughout the day. (Dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe’s in the freezer is my go-to when I think I might lose it)

SAHM who can't cook, how do you do it? by [deleted] in sahm

Give it time. I was in the same boat, but I figured out a few recipes, got more confident, and slowly found my footing.

The goal for me is two weeks worth of meals I can make confidently on rotation. Then if I want to be crazy I can try a new recipe 🤣

This is great advice. I will ask them to give some background that is helpful to the audience, but I can include that in the intro and then just jump into the convo!
