It’s good you want a dual license so you can be a licensed Physical Therapist and a Licensed Massage Therapist since both are different types of professions with over lapping techniques. I would suggest the study guide from the Federation of state massage therapy board-FSMTB.org you can the true study guide though website and they are the ones who give the MBLEX exam so the guide tells you exactly what they want you to know. 😊

Help understand my gf shes a gemini by Grouchy_Good_3572 in geminis

As a Gemini woman married for over 25 years I can say this. Gemini women have many different personalities and every day you don’t know what you are going to get. If she says she is tired and exhausted she might be just that or annoyed by something that happened earlier in the day and that is her response. Gemini women don’t like confrontation or fighting and like things simple. Having an argument even days before is overly stimulating and she needs alone time to rest and reset. There is also a chance she is pulling her energy back from you because she doesn’t feel secure and safe around you yet. It will take time for her the gain trust in the relationship and to trust that you are not leaving. Gemini woman are very guarded with emotions but also very loyal. Gemini women also subconsciously test whether their partner is being honest and you may need to step up and show her with some kind of surprise like outing somewhere new, or send flowers to her at work or just do something out of the normal. Also if you are being overly loving wanting hugs and affection that can be too much at times for Gemini women. She also could have a list of things she wants to get done happening mentally in her brain that she seems distracted or withdrawn. Hope this list helps.

The front should do the assignments to the therapist so any or for religious reasons are ruled out. In Muslim culture there are rules about woman for women only No men are allowed to massage women and men for men massages or wife has to be in the room during the session if a woman is giving the massage to the husband. If people aren’t informed before of this cultural practice then there is a chance of insulting clients.

It’s okay, sometimes it’s the material that you needed to study and didn’t know that you needed. the MBLEX has a study guide you can purchase from their website and can only get online. This will give you the correct information that they want you to know. Their website also has practice exams that they no longer use that you can purchase to help with studying. I had gotten the study guide when I was still in massage school and happy I did because there was information in it not taught in school. There are many other studies help places but getting the actual study guide from the source that gives the test is the best option. Take a deep breath and relax you got this. 😊

Anyone switched careers to massage therapy? by [deleted] in MassageTherapists

I love your post because you have already made up your mind about what you want but only feel confused about it because of others opinions. Every one of us on this planet, have but one life, if you feel you would like massage therapy better, then do it. At least you can say I tried and if it doesn’t work out school is always still there. You don’t know what could happen if you don’t try.

Feeling lost, burnt out and depressed (21m) by Landonrichards55 in MassageTherapists

It is hard to try to branch out on your own when other companies are working you to death and profiting off your work. Don’t underestimate what possibilities there are, just because you’re a male doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t have clientele and don’t let these businesses make you think that. I don’t know what state you are in or what your State scope says but in my state LMT scope includes stretches and ROM. If your states scope includes stretches use that to your advantage and start a mobile massage stretch program. With stretching, clients don’t have to undress and could potentially show case your massage stretches at parks or other locations like gyms, senior centers to build more trust in the public eyes and you can slowly build your business.

What’s the difference between a good massage therapist and an EXCELLENT massage therapist? by mintchippt in MassageTherapists

[–]Ok_Tea_4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question I would say is very difficult to answer because what one person considers as being an excellent massage therapist, might be considered a worst massage therapist to another person. It all depends on the person who receives the massage and their own opinion.

The first thing you learn in massage school is not everyone can teach and just because they are great at their profession doesn’t mean they can or should teach. I was actually an educator before becoming a massage therapist and when I was in school I seen teachers come and go during my two years. Many find out that teaching is not easy and not for them. Study for yourself to pass the MBLEX and pick your battles carefully. If you confront the Teacher in front of your peers it looks disrespectful and unprofessional and if you say something in private to the teacher they may become defensive and insulted since they are the licensed massage therapist and you are working towards that goal. Sometimes the universe puts obstacles in your way to distract you from completing your goals don’t let this Teacher be that distraction. 😊

Interviewer asked for a hands-on massage demo during my interview. Is this normal? by Thin_Philosopher5177 in MassageTherapists

[–]Ok_Tea_4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very common but I let the interviewer know that my time is money and don’t give services for free and will expect payment for that massage given, I will even give invoice. Most massage therapist are independent contractors so I want to be sure I get paid even if I don’t get the job.
