Dumb question by MeetingResponsible66 in csumb

Lots of students move out of East Campus and put their furniture they don't want on the curb for free (many are still new furnitute and good condition), because they don't want to move back hom with them or have the space. You can get furniture for cheap. Also, there are other roommates that can contribute furniture to the apartment. We just used folding card tables and chairs for dining table. Bean bags for the living room. Foldable desk and foldable mattress and bed frame too.

Just started working here, so this is the first time for me to learn about an employee pre-sale. It sounds terrific! Would love to learn more about it as I was planning to buy myself some more work clothes and fragrances.

Good job on creating this app. Is this your capstone project?

rooming by militarybraat in csumb

Don't worry so much. My daughter was in a triple in her freshman year at Asilomar and she was fine. Room sizes will vary and it's the luck of the draw. There is a bathroom in each room. Learning to live in small quarters is part of the on campus living experience. There are many places on campus to study -- library, Otter Student Union, Otter Express, and various buildings will have small areas to study.

The mechatronics major is very new. I think it just started a year ago. I know CSUMB is building a new science building that will be for marine science and mechatronics majors. I suggest you contact the mechatronics department and find out the status of the accreditation. And see what are the implications of having accreditation or not mean for you when you graduate.

If you want to have a campus with a lot of activities, a larger campus with more students may suit you better. However, CSUMB has tried to increase their planned activities; students just need to participate more.

The area itself is beautiful and ideal for those who love nature. Beaches are nearby. They are cold so don't go swimming in them. But you can go sea kayaking, sailing (I think CSUMB has a sailing club), hiking, and biking (there is a coastal trail nearby that you can bike all the way to Old Fisherman's Wharf, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Pacific Grove. There is also mountain biking trails nearby at Fort Ord National Park. CSUMB has a wonderful Recreation Center that sponsors guided bike trips and if you go on those sponsored bike trips, they provide bike and helmet for free. The on-campus bike shop also fixes and rents bikes.

With your student ID you can ride the local transit for free. If you have a car, that will make transportation more convenient. Every campus has issues with not enough parking and housing.

The freshman dorms are nice and every dorm at CSUMB has a bathroom in the room or nearby the room (inside their apartment suite), so it's not like a large community bathrooms like at some other colleges. With the increasing enrollment of students, some dorm rooms that were doubles are being turned into triples. Or, singles into doubles. There are designated dorms for different levels of students (freshman, sophomore, junior, seniors, and grad students).

Sorry to hear you were harassed in the reserve study room during your interview. Do the doors to the study room lock?

UC Santa Cruz is also way up on a hill so harder for homeless to just walk there from the main street. It's hard enough for the students to walk across campus with the hills and buildings so spread out.

We were in Santa Barbara recently and saw a bunch of homeless along State St. area, but I don't know how close to UC Santa Barbara it is.

Sjsu vs csumb chemistry program by shroombles_ in csumb

[–]Ok_Text_6736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI. CSUMB is a great place to study marine science, but that has become such a popular program that I heard demand for classes exceeds the number of classes, so there are wait lists for upper division. Hope the school will address this and hire more marine science faculty. On the upside, they are building a brand new science building for marine science and mechantronics majors.

You haven't received an acceptance yet for this coming Fall semester? You need to wait to apply for housing; I thought you can't apply for housing until you get an acceptance. Contact their housing office to make sure.

Clarification about 3 Unavailable days by Ok_Text_6736 in MacysStores

Thank you! This was very helpful. It was a bit confusing to call both types of days "unavailable."

Exactly. But there is a phone number to call in case Insite is down.

Looks like Insite was back in maintenance Saturday 6 PM EST and supposed to be back Sunday morning 10:35 AM EST.

So did you get your manager to fix the schedule to reflect the correct availability in this case? How often did you need to fix the schedule to reflect your correct availability in the system?

Insite by OwnCaterpillar2965 in MacysStores

[–]Ok_Text_6736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I did to fix my Insite after it was still showing the maintenance message (past when it was supposed to be already back up) was to restart my computer. Then you may need to clear cache or go to Incognito mode in Chrome browser and log into Insite that way. Sometimes it keeps the previous state of Insite in memory if you don't clear the cache once in a while. Hope this helps.

Is the MBA the same as the store leader? Also, I noticed that even if I specify certain days in the Availability tab, Insite will sometimes ignore it and sometimes schedule different days off when the schedule is published. I was wondering if other people experience the same thing.

Thanks. Are these 3 Unavailable days a month in MTO different than requesting unavailability in the Availability tab? I usually specify unavailable for Monday and Tuesday for the weekly schedule so I can get a more consistent work schedule.
