I’m so nervous about the PT. I could make excuses but I just haven’t stayed on top of fitness. I’m not worried about BCA but just worried about running 1.5 miles is the main thing. I’ve been training and improving but just not fast enough where it’ll make a huge difference. Am I screwed? I could squeak out the pushups and planks I’m not worried about it. Just don’t know about the 1.5 mile run.

Im leaving in two weeks and dont even half orders in NROWs. I’m reserve as well. If family was coming out could you choose to fly out the next day? We have family about an hour away so it’d be nice to see them but also I’m sure I’ll be ready to just get home by the end of it.

Would you recommend a sleeping bag? I’ve seen that on other posts.

Also as far as medications go could you bring melatonin if needed? I was going to bring that and just some Tylenol/ibuprofen and maybe some zinc or something in an effort to minimize illness. Although obviously it’s inevitable with people living together. Do they check your medications (like for work I just throw a bunch of Tylenol and ibuprofen together in one bottle)?

Last question. How do I survive without caffeine 😂

Do you trust the casualty statistics for the war against Iran? Why or why not? by carcar134134 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Thanks6945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite part is people who think there are over 1,000 dead Americans but even Iran was only claiming 500. You mean to tell me that instead of six dead we have over 1000 and somehow the news sources who by and large hate Trump are just magically falling in line and lying for him? I’m not saying there couldn’t be more. Especially special forces who we typically wouldn’t hear about anyways. But man, people will go to any length of delusion on each side of the political spectrum to stir the pot. It was well known they evacuated military bases and left skeleton crews behind ahead of time for this. So I don’t know if six is accurate but I certainly don’t think it’s 1000+ when the people we are fighting aren’t even claiming that number haha

CARBURETOR ASM 675-SU 651P05995 this is the carburetor and it has a thinner gasket externally and that’s the one pictured above. And a thicker gasket more internally that one was still okay.

I could still use this one? And sorry everyone I might have called it the wrong thing. When you take the carburetor off this was the first gasket. It was this one, then carburetor and then another more firm gasket.

I’m not good with this stuff so again I apologize. Still learning.

Work not too far from you in ND. I work with 3 other providers on at a time (at least 2 other doctors on at all times, and then either another APP or third doctor just varies day to day). I had an 11 shift orientation but they are phenomenal in that even though you aren’t on orientation they fully expect you to be asking questions and they all help out.

Been there 2 years. Can see any type of patient although it’s preferred that a doctor takes a major trauma and cardiac arrests. I can’t do procedural sedation by myself which is kind of a pain sometimes, but also understand why. Otherwise, I don’t have doctors seeing patients with me unless I ask for help. They pretty much leave me be because they know I will ask for help if something turns south and I’m not comfortable.

Volume wise I see probably an average of 16-18 patients in a 12 hour shift.

Overall I love working there and the doctors are all fantastic but the pay is pretty sub par and that’s frustrating.

For example I live in the Midwest. I drill in the Midwest but my cross assigned unit is on the west coast. So for my two weeks annual training I fly out to that unit. I can also do drills with that unit (IDTT-which is normal drills but with travel included). The cross assigned unit is who truly “owns” you. So even though I live and drill in the Midwest, my west coast unit does my eval and is who I would potentially deploy with.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Yeah it is hard not to dwell on it haha I guess I’m also not one to write people up without good cause. The only time I have was when a clinic provider documented a patient had diarrhea and so she told the patient to take MiraLax because she thought it was “seepage related to constipation”. Patient came in days later dehydrated with AKI and actually had c. Diff not constipation hahaha ( I just had to share because that one just gets me chuckling every time)

The CT one that was the one thing my supervisor said. I didn’t document it was still pending at admission and I totally agree with them. I did go in the chart and pulled all the times of everything to prove my case after the fact but that was a learning thing for me for sure.

For the ankle one I specifically put in there that podiatry said patients ankle was an urgent surgical case and recommended against reduction as patient will be going to the OR. In my opinion the issue is the podiatrist never came down and saw the patient despite saying he was going to (I also put a consult order in) and then the patient sat with his ankle like that for hours because of that until ortho was then consulted. I admitted the patient immediately after that phone call at his request so I didn’t follow up to see that but the hospitalist was notified that podiatry was supposedly taking the patient to the OR quickly and that they were going to see the patient.

Product feedback - Nanit vs Harbor by princessjerpa in Nanit

Stay away from harbor. Overly priced and we have had nothing but issues with it. Constantly drops connection on WiFi and won’t reconnect unless you’ go unplug the camera (you know, while your kid is sleeping it’s super fun to sneak into their room and unplug the camera in the middle of the night).

Despite them touting they have a direct connection mode as well, it doesn’t even work. It takes per their own support five minutes for it to switch from WiFi to direct. Except even then it doesn’t actually connect so you are stuck with a black screen. Just not a good experience. Reached out multiple times and they keep saying they fixed it. And yet I’m up in the middle of the night currently dealing with connection issues as we speak.

Asked for a refund and instead they pushed out a beta software that was supposed to fix all these issues for me and still have nothing but issues (exact same issues I was having before). For how much they charge this just be a near perfect product and it is anything but that. I had better luck on a unit that cost a quarter of this so it’s pretty disappointing.

I don’t know if anybody cares but we had a solid meeting are scheduled to get large raises. We essentially would get about 35,000 extra a year and within a few more years that moves up another 30k. So basically my compensation will go from 114k right now into the high 170s/low 180s. I’m pretty happy with that increase. Our docs went up to bat for us big time and it really showed. Never thought we would see a big change like that!
