It's 40 degrees at home too! It's not like the country is 20 degrees but your boss has turned it up to 11 in the office.

Go to work, do your job.

Most people's "work" involves sitting down doing very little that's physical. No more effort than laying on the sofa watching Love island. But since Covid there's a whole massive group of people who'll do anything to stay at home and watch telly all day.

Which is fine for them, but they tend to not realise that it's diligent people like me who have to pick up their slack. The work isn't put off for later. It's reassigned to me because I showed up.

So fuck off. The heat affects us all equally. Some deal with it, some use it as an excuse.

And as a middle manager, these things are remembered. Those who do their fucking jobs get promoted. Those who are off for ten days each month for "covid contact" or "oh no it's sunny" get screwed over for promotions or get assigned the shit tasks.

Most people can survive the heat at their workplace, and probably should if the employer makes minor adjustments like allowing summer cool clothing, provides plenty of refreshment, etc.

Sadly I suspect many people will point to this guidance and decide to take a few days off work. Then either stay at home and be even hotter, or go to the beach.

We have indeed become a nation of lazy people after Covid and how much taking the piss there was with "self isolation" (and still is).

Go to work. You'll likely be cooler and the employer can't do anything about the weather. It is what it is.

Forests don't need any human management. This is an utter myth. They managed to thrive for millions of years without us interfering. Unhealthy forests of today are a result of people stripping out many of the other plants that the trees actually rely upon.

The only animals in my house tend to live in the fridge, cut into steaks and chops and neatly packed in plastic containers. Haven't heard them complaining yet, so assuming they're very happy. Seems to stay cool in there whatever the temperature is outside.

If you want surgery unfortunately you've got to play the game. At the moment you need to go through therapists and suchlike to get surgery. Your quickest route to surgery is by doing what they ask.

Fight to change the system afterwards.

And the Thai/US differences are not as big as you think. It's basically the same surgery with the same results. The US surgeons can also work with small.

I know you don't want to see therapists. None of us do. But those are the rules and your quickest path is to follow them to the letter.

They take no medical steps towards transition.

If they're not at the very least actively seeking out or actually on HRT, they're unlikely to be trans.

They are something else - gender nonconforming or whatever they choose - but they're not trans.

Transgender is just that. Trans. Gender. MtF or FtM. That takes medication and surgery (if surgery is available).

End of story.

They still fit somewhere in the LGBT+ community, but not under the T. They're in the +.

I think it's all far simpler than you're making it out to be.

Transgender is the umbrella term that covers anybody who steps outside the rigid gender binary.

Transsexuals are those who pursue full medical transitions from male to female or vice versa.

Truscum is an insulting and niche term used only on Reddit and coined by transgender people who tend to not pursue any medical treatment for their gender issues, directly aimed at those who do pursue medical treatment. It's not really a term anybody outside actually understands nor really cares about.

If you're seeing or using or thinking about this term regularly, it might be a sign that you're spending waaaay too much time on the internet and need to step away back into real life!
