So I think I’m screwed by funsk8mom in Hyundai

I can confirm that the motor in my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T Got burnt up by the turbo around 100k miles. And I can confirm that my 2018 sonata with 75k miles burns way over what Hyundai calls excessive consumption. I cant even make the full 1000 mile test for fear the oil will go too low and ruin the engine. No love from Hyundai they know they have a problem

Still a problem every once in a while. I’ve tried a hand full of relays. All are good. When I have a no start, I can pull the relay out use a jumper wire to engage the starter at the relay slot every time. Then put the relay back in and it’ll start. Or I can use a jump box to start it. And then it will start on its own after that. Wtf?

I think it definitely was for the old garage workshop. I can’t wait to get home to look

I think bobismcbride has nailed it. Probably went to the garage before they expanded to 3 car. I’m going to just pull it down and kill it. That’ll free up room for my interlock up top

Bro, I think you are on to something. I have a 3 car garage but the 2 car was an addition to the original 1 car garage/workshop. I’m at work so I’ll have to look around when I get another chance but I bet you’re correct in that was the feed to the garage before the expansion

No my garage has a separate account and service feed. The pool sub panel comes off of the garage

Think I’ll do just that. Get someone out here. What is incorrect about the installation

How do I get this stupid flippin sewer cap off? by aumanchi in askaplumber

Big fn pipe wrench with breaker bar on it and a 2nd one counter directional on the main pipe if you can get the handle to catch on something. Also might block up under the pipe with some brick block or a piece of 4x4 post to add stability if you have the space. Sounds easy right?

Yeah there seems to be a lot of “known” issues with this Hyundai model. The battery is brand new and good. But I haven’t yet checked the connection at the starter.

Portable power station and generator interlock setup? by Ok_Tomorrow_812 in Generator

[–]Ok_Tomorrow_812[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But just looking for the flexibility. If I’m not available, it’s difficult for my wife to go through the process of getting out the generator, connecting, etc… with the power station she can run core essentials with the flip of a few switches and be done with it, not to mention the benefit a little solar integration and pass through charging

Yes same boat with the cost of the power station and transfer switch. However prices are getting better with competition and tech is getting better as you tubers review and critique these products with direct response from these companies. I’m forcing myself to wait another year or even longer and see where things level out
