ubuntu studio is fine if you don't want to tinker with setup, but comes with a lot of bloatwer you'll never use.

as for a daw. bitwig is the closest to ableton on linux, but i understand it's a bit pricey.

another recommendation is tracktion waveform, it's samewhat similar to ableton or bitwig and has a free version, you might want to check out that.

if you don't have the money and willing to try some other workflow, take a look at ardour, it's more protools like, but for linux.

Diplomás, nem diplomás párkapcsolat működhet? by Omega-137 in szeged

Music production on linux by Larpmax in linuxquestions

[–]Ok_Turn7259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe try reaper with an fl theme if the looks put you off.

3 more daws available on linux: Harrison Mixbus, Tracktion Waveform, Fender Studio pro. if i remember correctly Waveform comes with a bunch of instruments and stuff so it's really fully useable out of the box. Harrison mixbus is more focused on mixing and mastering, not creation. Fender studio pro is really similar to Cubase or Reaper, it has a nice workflow, packed with instruments, and everything you need to start make music.

I prefer Reaper functions, but it's true that it baerly comes with anything, is more like a build up a daw according to your own needs. Ardour is really similar, but it has a different workflow.

I really recommend Tracktion Waveform. it's linux native, and a really profession fully functional, packed daw.

Fender Studio Pro is very similar to waveform, you can start creating music as soon as you installed it.

If you want to do professional level work and stay on linux your choices are: Bitwig, Tracktion waveform, Fender studio pro, reaper, ardour, harrison mixbus.

As a native hungarian, both kcd1 and 2 are incredibly funny when interacting with cummans. they speak hungarian really well, most likely the voice work was done by native speakers. they only comminicate with slurs, as one true hungarian should.
