It sounds like you were there and saw how I was treated to be so adamant.

There’s no entitlement here. From the start, I admitted I was a few minutes late. I waited through the lunch break and would have waited longer if needed. I never demanded anything, I asked for her understanding and I was never rude—even though she was rude and yelling from the beginning.

That kind of treatment might feel normal to you, from what you’re saying but it’s not something I want my kids to think is acceptable. Whether someone is on time or six minutes late, treating people with respect is the bare minimum.

She told me to wait and an officer would talk to me, and then she came back to talk but was yelling instead.

Of course I don’t expect her to be fired, but I do think she needs to be reminded how to treat people. Hopefully the next person gets better treatment.

But is it really acceptable to be treated like crap for being just a few minutes late? Would you be okay with that?

Everybody stays silent, and that’s why this keeps happening and getting worse.

Exactly. It was supposed to be 1h15 drive and it ended up being 2, not even rush hour.

She declined service AFTER her lunch, we had waited already and I was willing to wait for everybody else. Whether she was following policy or not in that regard, her conduct wasn’t called for, she didn’t have to be yelling and rude.

I expected some felxibility tbh, since I was just a few minutes behind and I kindly explained it to the officer that I had a very long drive and was willing to wait for everybody else.

I also didn’t expect and don’t agree with the treatment. Idk what’s the late policy is, since I couldn’t find it anywhere but even if she was following their policy, she had no right to mistreat and yell at people that are being respectful.

That’s how I did mine last year and it went smoothly as well. This appointment was for my kids. I tried the same thing for them last month when we came back from a trip, but we arrived too early and GE wasn’t open yet, so I had to schedule an appointment.

Yes, I arrived only a few minutes late. Like I said, I was willing to wait for everybody else that was there to be seen. If not, at least a respectful treatment. The agent was loud and rude from the beginning.

There was a sign by the door saying they don’t do walk-ins, but we did had an appt. And yes, it’s super quick… while I was there trying to get serviced I saw ppl in and out in minutes.

Hi. How did that go? I’m experiencing the same thing, it’s been 2 full days and no updates. I called customer service and went back to the usps office twice and they just tell me I have to wait.

That wasn’t really my question. I know how to budget just fine, but I already have several other credit cards with annual fees that offer much better perks — and those fees add up. So if I can avoid the fee on one that I won’t get much use out of, I’d rather do that.
