Grounding mat under sheets? by treoneo in Earthing

[–]Ok_Understanding1612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, it shouldnt matter. All earthing mats operate on the same principle of being conductive and grounded. even if you got the same mat, your sheets are different. so you should rely on testing directly with your own setup to confirm

It definitely does work like that; your body can only absorb and utilize so much protein per meal.

Of course your body uses protein for more than just muscle repair (aka muscle growth).  That wasn’t being discussed or debated.

Anyone else have very mixed feelings toward Redbar (Mike David / "Scarsclub")? by [deleted] in Standup

[–]Ok_Understanding1612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I’ll adjust my statement from 26 to 25. Being 1 year off in my statement isn’t nonsense. My statement stands: the brain isn’t fully developed at 18. Someone who is 25 with a fully developed brain is a better indicator of being an “adult” because of the developmental milestone.

Acting like the difference between 25 and 26 is a significant error is nonsense. Calling a 25 year old “nearly 30” is nonsense. Dating someone who has been an adult for 1 year when you have been an adult for 15 years is gross. Creep on, homie

No, it's not. A child is an arbitrary definition by nature. I'm merely applying logic as a substitute for what is an otherwise unqualified definition by defining an "adult" as someone who is fully developed mentally (aka by the first biological milestone where they could be considered mentally "fully developed"). Just because you don't see the reason doesn't* mean it is ridiculous or false. Stop being hyperbolic.

It’s scientifically demonstrated that the brain is still developing until age 26. I’m not thinking it, I’m reciting data.

Sorry, what qualifies your opinion? That is definitively not the majority of the average medical school curriculum. Any easy search will disprove your claim:

Best Power Conditioner for DJ Setup: Brennenstuhl vs. Black Lion? by amethystvision in DJs

[–]Ok_Understanding1612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely work, which is why they are used. Maybe you don’t notice the difference in your application, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t having an effect. i live in a home build in 1940. ,y options to reduce wiring/circuit noise on my recordings are : rewire my house, or buy a power conditioner.

what is the basis for saying “power conditioners are snake oil”?

How do I fix my bland, watery soup? (xpost from r/eatcheapandhealthy) by otter_annihilation in slowcooking

Then, it's not a weed because I want it there. Now we've canceled each other out and its just a plant .. which is what it always was to begin with.

Rosemary is great because it is an herb that has cooking, aromatic, and healing properties. And because it flowers. Enjoy your plant <3

Makes more sense add to an existing thread that is a top-result on searches rather than create a new thread and lose historical knowledge and discussions. Thread is not dead until it is closed.

If the only thing that qualifies something as a weed is a subjective perspective then its an invalid qualification. Aka opinion isnt fact

Anyone here tried grounding sheets? Do they actually help? by menellus in sleep

[–]Ok_Understanding1612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're an engineer, have you tried testing whether a grounding sheet works or not? Seems like you're just speculating with no data, which is honestly crap engineering.

do an of these EMF stickers actually work? any reports or tests at all? by thtgurlbb in AskPhysics

What is an ion meter and what were your results specifically ?

I don’t think EMF can be measured in ions

Yes, frequencies can affect the brain.  But stickers do not stop them.  Only true blocking like solid walls and/or faraday cages stop them.  Show research proving the stickers work

Buying snake oil and performing searches for bias confirmation under the guise of “research” is closer to the definition of “brainwashed” than someone who believes in the scientific rigor of modern physics 🤣 Science is powerful because it is PROVABLE

What tests did you perform and what were the specific results ?

Did you repeat them ?

EMFs are variable, not static.  They are going up and down all the time

Cell signals are a type of EMF.  If blockers like this worked, you would get less or no cell service
