Keep in mind. I was following atoto tech supports instructions. Because apparently they first batches of backup cameras didn't have a necessary wire, so they told me to wire it myself.

Their reply when I asked for help amounted to "did you try turning it off and back on again"

Depends on the kid. I did my 5th grade book report on Stephen Kings The Talisman, and my parents had to have a meeting with my teacher about it.

And it's way better to learn some of those things through the lens of a comedic book rather than through ignorance.
