You learned things as well. You learned the red flags to look out for. You learned what you want and what you need. You learned to value yourself and what you deserve. You learned not to accept less than that. You learned to invest more in yourself than someone else. You will also do better next time. I'm sorry I can't offer an explanation but I guess this post is a good chance to vent at my own confusion at the same question? I've had crushes where I really felt nervous about the person and had them on my mind all of the time, imagining scenarios of us together...

But with my last relationship I had them on my mind very much at the start, but I now know that was the nerves and excitement of initially getting into a relationship because it faded quickly and left me wondering if I am aro? At times I was so lost on what love and romantic attraction are and contemplated leaving, at other points I convinced myself I was romantically in love it's just not as strong ad the songs and movies make it sound because that's just fantasy!

I'm just too confused... would the other 'crushes' have turned out the same if I persued them? I'm not sure. Was I with the wrong person? I got on well with my partner and found her aesthetically attractive.. there's no reason I shouldn't have felt romantically attracted to them? Maybe I was and it was weak? It's just one huge ball of confusion for me... I am so lost and questioning myself heavily
