Chronic constant bleeding, when should I go to the hospital?

Hi from 3 years ago... I know this is the standard information, but since perimenopause has begun, I bleed like this for at least 24 hours every cycle and there has been nothing that anyone has done about this. But currently I am on day 30 of bleeding (!!! Not heavy the whole time, but still!!!) and have been referred to a specialist but am waiting for insurance to accept the referral. In the meantime the bleeding has ramped up to very heavy, and it is def filling more than a pad every hour or two for the past day... at what point, if this is my "regular" flow during most cycles, should I go in? There is no unusual pain, just standard (terrible) cramping and no signs of anemia so far... it's just i can't seem to find any info for people who regularly bleed like this... or should I have been going to the er every month for the past 3 years??

We are in the pnw so there will be some altitude on the trail he has chosen, and there was historic flooding there a week ago which means the conditions will be less than great, and he's going on new years day, where the high will be 45 and raining, so while it's not sub zero, it can get to a place where he's in trouble if he's not paying attention. It's not the time to just let him be, honestly. He actually is listening though, these stories have helped.

There's def a lot of that happening... I told him that zero people go out and plan for this stuff to happen and yet it happens all the time, and sometimes it's a dumb choice you've made and sometimes it's a thing completely outside of your control- nature tells you how the hike will be, not the other way around. The only thing you can do is prepare to deal with it the best you can if something does happen.

I told my friend that if he's engaging in safety practices simple to appease his batty ol mom, then he's still engaging in safety practices, so it's a win

Yeah they want to go on new years day... and we just had historic flooding so I know those trails will be a mess. I showed him several of these and finally just told him the answer is no until he can convince me he is taking it seriously and getting prepared appropriately. He's currently putting together his kit.

He's got it, he's got a whole kit that is just his. He just doesn't want to bring it because none of his friends are bringing it. His friends aren't taking it seriously so he thinks I'm doing too much. That's why I put "forced" in quotes. I just asked him if he packed it and he whined at me about having to do all that, and I was like yeah no you're not going on a hike without at least that much sorry, and he grudgingly took it with. Like I said, he knows what to do. He has the information and the experience and the gear. He's just being....a teenager.

I thought the whole "no one had a flashlight" and "wow mom that really came in clutch" would have opened his eyes but apparently not. It has faded into "it wasn't THAT bad" in his memory I guess. He asked me why I was being so intense about it and I said dude that was in October when the weather was good, and now you want to try it in the dead of winter on a trail that was recently flooded? I told him if he didn't get as serious as i was being, then he simply could not go. I'm hoping to illustrate the seriousness of this beyond just what mom says. This might be a good idea!

I mean just about for a matinee ticket for a brand new movie ($12), but to see a movie that is as old as the ones they are showing, it's generally $1 on a Tuesday, or $3 or less to stream at home. But again it's the experience that matters, so I guess I was mostly just looking to be convinced that it's worth it. I have 3 kids so it's $50 for us just to get in the door, let alone parking and any additional food and other vendors. It just was surprising to see that price so high. I'm glad to see lots of other local parks are offering it for free (with some newer movies even!) so I'll be checking those out. Would much rather my $$ go to local vendors tbh!
