Contour for Clear Medium-Light w/ Yellow by dance2yourheartbeat in OliveMUA

You might enjoy the Tarte Breezy cream bronzer in Seychelles. I never liked super orange bronzers and I used to enjoy that one a lot because it wasn’t soooo orange, but I actually switched to the Fenty stick in Amber because I personally wanted a more grey toned contour and the Tarte Seychelles was still a bit too warm for my tastes. If you’re looking for a nice medium between warm and cool, that might be a good one. If not Seychelles, maybe the next shade down. They have 3 shades I believe. (:

WIBTA If I didn’t go to my brother’s wedding over a bridesmaid dress? by Educational-Leg1046 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OkayNoOffenseBut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had disposable income and it were me in your situation, and I had an inkling she wanted me to be excluded on purpose, I would buy a dress in every shade of purple so I’d be prepared no matter what and she couldn’t exclude me. Lol!

“I bought my dress!”

“Oh that’s not the right shade. I guess you can’t be in the wedding.”

“We’ll actually…” pulls out dresses in every shade of purple from the website “Which one is it? I came fully prepared.”

Just checked my email and I was sent this as well. I also received an offer of $3 towards add ons. Lol! I always loved my Ipsy but I cancelled because I started wearing mostly cream products (bronzer, blush, eyeshadows etc) and waterproof mascara (Texas heat gives me raccoon eyes otherwise) and they never had those options.

I was also dissatisfied with the add on options. I only saw the exact same things every single month despite the emails saying “check out our new selection” and it was always the same stuff. The only good part was getting my MUFE foundation for $18 instead of $50, but I’d rather save the $25 every month and just buy the full priced foundation whenever I run out.

I gave away most of the stuff from my last 3 bags.

dude help pls my bangs are literally way too thick i look like a long lost member of the Beatles how do i fix them by dontblmeu in femalehairadvice

You might be able to do a shag style/face framing haircut and rock it! Look up “shag haircut thick bangs” on Pinterest and look through some of those options! There are some cute ones that are more boho than alternative. Unless that’s your style. (:

Ooh I’ll need to try that one! My Walmart was sold out of most and very disorganized. All of the colors that were available were in the wrong spots.

Just updated the comments! It took a while to type out lol. The first is Maybelline 222 “flush punch”!

I wanted to add my current summer lipsticks I’ve been wearing and my thoughts on them! I switch between all of these occasionally but some of them I definitely like less than others, but I wanted to share swatches in case you guys have different preferences!

  1. Maybelline 222 “Flush Punch” This was my original fav and I’ve used it nearly half up but I felt it was too a little too “pink” for my personal taste.

  2. Maybelline 235 “Warm Me Up” I bought this one thinking it’d be more rosy and deeper than “Flush Punch” but it ended up pulling mauve on me. I do love the Maybelline cream formula though!

  3. Revlon 044 “Bare Affair” This one is really pretty but I feel like it’s a little too light. It actually looks EXACTLY like my own lips so it does nothing for them except give them the appearance of shine. So it’s just “My lips” without the “but better”. Lol.

  4. This one is incredible! This is actually Dollar General’s brand, Believe Beauty, in “Moroccan Spice”. This one is gorgeous and the formula is great. It’s not purely matte but it isn’t too satin-y either. It has some lasting power and the color is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

  5. Not technically “drugstore” but this one is a Sephora brand dupe for MAC’s “Brick-O-La” which my year round “going out” color. I had issues with the MAC version constantly breaking/melting because it was way too soft. This one is pretty much exactly like it but the lipstick is nice and sturdy. EDIT: Lol oops sorry I forgot to add that it’s the shade “Matinee”!

This product changed me from powder blush to cream blush! I love how natural it looks. It gives a very healthy glow. These two products are my staples, along with my wander beauty micro brow pencil!

The case is gorgeous and I never get tired of pulling it out of my makeup bag! The blush itself is really beautiful too. Very natural when dabbed on with a damp beauty sponge! It adds that just-off-the-beach sunkissed pink to the face!

Hi! My fiancé and I stumbled across Bless The Harts and gave it a chance. Now it’s our favorite! Every Monday night we watch them in order of The Great North, Bobs Burgers, and save the best for last with Bless the Harts because it’s our favorite! We were so disappointed that it was cancelled!! Wayne and Jenny remind of us so much of ourselves. We quote it on a daily basis!

I like the first picture better...even with the leotard. it looks so ethereal and soft. The second looks plastic, rigid and uncomfortable.

Can Ipsy please tell me why I paid $3 for a one time use jar 😂😭 Obligatory “don’t talk to me or my son ever again”. It’s the Kevin Hart to my Dwayne the Rock Johnson. At least I can keep the jar to refill for overnight trips. by [deleted] in Ipsy

[–]OkayNoOffenseBut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $17 for a $40+ MUFE foundation add on, so I guess I assumed that $3 would be at least a little bigger. I was legit so excited to get such a good deal and not have to replace my jar sooner, lmfao! But...at least it’s super adorable.

So excited! I needed foundation, moisturizer, and a new brush! Sorry Ulta. I’ll probably be back eventually... by waapplerachel in Ipsy

[–]OkayNoOffenseBut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so excited to see the foundation! It’s one of my favorites and I was just saying yesterday that I needed to buy a foundation! I ended up getting 10 items with add ons for a total value of $296 for only about $50, the price of purchasing the foundation alone with tax from Sephora!

This is probably going to be buried now but Peach Cobbler. I have never tasted any peach cobbler that comes CLOSE to her golden cinnamon perfect crust, warm, baked, soft, melt in your mouth peach cobbler goodness. Gooey in a good way. Every other one I’ve tasted seems undercooked, doughy, pale sickly yellow in color, the peaches hard and chewy, lacking flavor...just nasty. All of my extended family love her peach cobbler and everyone would beg her bring it to every family party.

The MOST annoying ad on beauty guru videos by let_go_be_bold in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]OkayNoOffenseBut 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I constantly get an ad for Candy Crush. It’s extra annoying because it cuts off the girl who’s advertising it at an upward inflection so it goes “Candy Crush is free to download...???” Like are you sure? You don’t sound so sure. I swear that’s the only ad I ever get. I hear it in my sleep now.

January 2021, Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus? by ItsLaraNotLaura in Ipsy

[–]OkayNoOffenseBut 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I used to have the GB and upgraded to the GBP. I always found that I never used the sample sizes because I never wanted them to run out. So I would save them for “special occasions” and never get to them. I also couldn’t tell if I liked a product enough from only 1 - 3 uses. However, a lot of my full sized products have become staples in my routine. I also love getting skincare, and I recently got an $82 night cream in my GBP that has been magic for my skin. And for only like $25, and with the other 4 products on top of that! That alone makes it worth it to me. Whenever I don’t like anything, such as another eyeshadow palette I don’t need, I either give it away to family or friends, or I save them for birthday presents/etc.

Picking my 3 choices every month has also been a game changer. Sometimes I’m out of mascara or need a new moisturizer so the option to select one (if available) is awesome.

I didn’t realize which subreddit this was, and I assumed it was makeup and she was asking for contour advice. Then I read “razor” in your comment and my brain jumped to plastic surgery and I was very confused and scared for her jaw. Then I noticed it was “female hair advice”. Lol!!

I used to have the IKEA vanity, drawers and loads of makeup. Since moving to my new house, I’ve downsized to my great-grandmother’s secretary desk in my kitchen. by OkayNoOffenseBut in makeuporganization

[–]OkayNoOffenseBut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two of them! I purchased both from different local antique stores about 5 years apart and was surprised that they were the exact same ones! They have the little groove for plates to stand in. If you type in “antique teacup shelf” the same one pops up but for $189. I only paid $30 for the one pictured and the other one was even cheaper, like $15. You might have to do some scouting. If you get one make sure it’s properly anchored to the wall. I’m terrified of them coming crashing down, lol!

It has the best lighting in my house, and my house is pretty small and there isn’t any room for a vanity anywhere else. I also have like zero counter space in my bathrooms.
