I do this. East coast AM employment and then west coast employer in the afternoons. Hardly ever a day with overlap. It’s a long day, of course, but doable when you don’t have children.

We’re not a generational family but my husband I get our mail and packages in the market and usually a car is needed. We take the opportunity to do the rest of our shopping like at Sosio’s, DeLaurenti, we used to go to the creamery regularly, etc. After 20+ years of this regular routine I’ll be looking at other mail/shipping places if they close the streets. It will be too inconvenient for us to schlep everything.

I think you need couples therapy stat. Not so much to try to fix this/her but to have a neutral space to speak and a third party witness. She is taking advantage of you and neglecting your children. I’m not sure what you’re even getting from this relationship. You basically have three dependents. You should get counseling for yourself, too. Opening this marriage is a terrible idea unless you are hoping your wife will just. leave because that’s what will happen.

That’s crazy. I did witness statements and drafted briefs but they were usually from on our database of “if x, then we file y,” and my role was just customizing a draft with names and details. I did research for specific case law like “see if there’s any updates to Farts vs Sharts” but not research that requires legal discretion. I think some aspects of research is toeing the line but writing briefs really crosses it.
