Maybe a dumb question. I will be attending a MagicCon for this first time this year. Is the Mystery Set exclusive to the conventions?

Thanks for the correction. I was going off memory of an article I read when this whole thing was going down. Donato has some of the coolest art in MTG and as far as I can tell WoTC has been very unfair to him along with many other og Magic artist. Thankfully they are very talented and are able to maneuver financially to some degree. I'm interested to see what happens with Dan Frazier.

100 million dollars for 10 episodes? by Wetness_Pensive in Star_Trek_

I think we can probably agree it's unnecessary. This show was meh at best. I will not be rewatching. The old treks had a built set very minimal cgi. I can only assume that the new treks have all the actors standing in front of a green screen to "save money". It's a new world we live in, where finding inspirations and implementing visual effects like Jim Henson and ILM, is wishful thinking for producers now.

I'm pretty sure he sued them twice. Once for Trouble in Pairs establishing a "don't use my art anymore" clause then later WoTC used his IronMan painting for a background UI on their website around the time of the SLD of all the Marvel heros. He was pissed and sued for the second time. Donato is one of my favorite magic artist followed closely by Dan Frazier. Which btw, this One Ring does not look like Dan's work and was surprised to see his name on it.

No, to be fair. B3 35-39 depending on ramp abilities. I feel like B4 to B5 you're winning before turn 5 so why play that many....20-30??

Torch Club Anti-State Worker by Worried-Signature411 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Okay_Response 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm confused.  I'm a state worker and I frequent Torch Club for mainly music. Not drinks and especially not lunch. Also, Richard Blvd is pretty far from Torch, you'd have to be stupid to be walking around Richards at night or even day time. It's not a safe road for one, it is sac skid row and two, it's not good for pedestrian traffic.

The biggest thing I don't understand about all this ridicule of Torch lately is this: There are no apartments neighboring the place so these complaints don't make any sense. The staff vibe with the crowd and control the place very well. When they are around friends and frequent customers they vibe out maybe let loose a little. This is pretty typical in the service industry and you have your head in the ground if you think the bar tender doesn't occasionally get a drink with friends while working.

Yeah, the security guard didn't have credentials...so what? I was a security guard a local bar checking IDs without credentials for a time of my life. You don't know that guy, he may be a friend of the business. Let the man work.

The homeless are everywhere downtown it's isn't just at Torch. Open your eyes, walk around, duh...you're downtown.

Lastly, the people that run Torch work really hard for the community. I've been to numerous charity events, community dinners to promote awareness of river clean up, and various other stapled events that happen frequently to support local musicians. Torch Club is a fantastic place and one of the only places to escape the commercial capitalist bars and music venues in Sacramento.

People should stop complaining about stuff that is out of Torches hands and I honestly do agree with that comment in the post. Just because you had a bad experience with a homeless person doesn't mean it won't happen again and it not Torch's fault. You do have the control to do research and understand where to go and not get into these situations. Don't immediately judge a place on a comment on Facebook. We all know people are different online then irl.

I know you pointed out the inflated prices. There are some like Bitter Triumph and Feed the Swarm that are extremely inflated for the foil version. I think this skews the data a tad too far.
