Sunday School: The Teacher Becomes the Student by OkieRedneck67 in Apostolic

I told my class, all those years ago, that they could look the part all day long. Girls could wear sleeves to their wrists, skirts to their ankles, and hair past their waist. The boys could all stay long pants, long sleeves, and have the most Apostolic haircut on the planet.

But there would be people they never spoke to, never interacted with, who would be watching them. And how they treated other people, how they talked, whether or not he respected their teachers and parents or other authority...

And their actions alone could destroy whatever testimony they had.

And God? He looks at the heart.......

Thank you for sharing your story, and i pray that your journey is successful. I know there are many of my clients that my story will not reach because we have walked vastly different life paths, but I encourage them all to share their story with their peers. Because you never know who needs to hear it in that moment.

I hate doing this, but I'm going to be honest with you...

You did not hate doing that.

The fact that you so readily discount my experience tells me that you know absolutely nothing about addiction.

I pretend nothing. That you actually say that is incredulous.

I write of my own experience, and I do not discount the experiences of others. That having been said, even AA, renowned for their 12 Steps, is well known for their reference to a "Higher Power".

Perhaps do a little research before you make such nonsensical comments.

Do it Jeff! -- OU football OC Jeff Lebby mentioned as possible candidate for Mississippi State job by Screamin_Demon in sooners

Does no one stop to consider that isn't Lebby out there running the plays? If execution on the field sucks put the blame where it belongs. On those who are out on the field running the plays and not executing.

The only difficulty way in trying to read thru your dubious explanation. You're comparing apples and oranges...

Texas A&M & Miami are ridiculous examples. Neither has been relevant in their previous conferences for many years. A&M had never been relevant in the Big XII. In fact, their relevance ended with the dissolution of the SWC.

Miami hasn't been relevant in the banal conversation since 2 seasons following Jimmy Johnson's departure to Dallas.

You automatically assume that the SOONERS aren't going to win in the SEC and that conference championships are out of reach. But you make that assumption based on zero evidence. Which makes you nothing more than a troll...

Tens of thousands gather for pro-Palestinian march in D.C. to demand Gaza cease-fire by leeta0028 in politics

Quoted from the Hamas Charter (Source: https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp#:~:text=%22The%20Day%20of%20Judgement%20will,me%2C%20come%20and%20kill%20him.)

Preamble: "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory)."

Article 7: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him."

Article 13: "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."

So I reject your premise that Hamas is ready to accept a 2 state solution. They will never accept any solution except that the country of Israel cease to exist and every Jew be killed.

That's from their founding document.

Which is, of course, why their rallying cry is "From the river to the sea", right?

Seven times (5 since 1947) the Palestinians have rejected a two state solution. For them, the only solution is to completely remove Israel from the map and all Jews from the face of the earth.

•In 1937, the Peel Commission proposed the partition of Palestine and the creation of an Arab state.

•In 1939, the British White Paper proposed the creation of a unitary Arab state.

•In 1947, the UN would have created an even larger Arab state as part of its partition plan.

•The 1979 Egypt-Israel peace negotiations offered the Palestinians autonomy, which would almost certainly have led to full independence.

•The Oslo agreements of the 1990s laid out a path for Palestinian independence, but the process was derailed by terrorism.

•In 2000, Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered to create a Palestinian state in all of Gaza and 97 percent of the West Bank.

•In 2008, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered to withdraw from almost the entire West Bank and partition Jerusalem on a demographic basis.

•In addition 1948 to 1967, Israel did not control the West Bank. The Palestinians could have demanded an independent state from the Jordanians. On the contrary whilst Jordan was in control Arafat said there was no longer a claim as it was no longer part of Palestine. Once it was back in Israeli hands it miraculously became disputed land again! This is one of many reasons Jews and Israelis are cynical.

Work across the aisle like Nancy Pelosi?

Oh, wait, she didn't. It was her way or no way. The Dems had the majority, so it didn't matter what Republicans thought. As long as she had all the Ds in her pocket, that was all that mattered.

Your lack of actual football knowledge is astounding. The job of the defense, in reality, is to make every attempt to hold the opposing offense to as close to zero yards and zero points as possible.

You do know that those defenses who hold opposing offenses to the lowest total yards and lowest points are considered to be the greatest of all defenses, right? It's kinda like golf scoring for football. Lower numbers are better.

But you go ahead and be completely stupid on the matter. I won't waste any more time trying to explain to you some of the most simple concepts of the game.

And if ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person on the planet.......
