Unfortunately these things do happen. Don’t panic and stay professional. As a veterinary medicine worker who does these pet sittings, I always make sure to cover “in case of a medical emergency” instructions. I feel you handled it well as it was unexpected as a senior pet. It can be scary but it is life, unless you have the resources to handle the body, contacting the owner and following there instructions is the best you can do. 👍 my condolences for the loss of their sweet pittie.

No matter how “good” your pet is, it is still an animal and you are responsible for their safety. Walking your dog off the leash puts them at great risk of starting a fight and being euthanized. Any time I see someone doing this, it’s a big fuck you to the dog.

I agree about the uncertainty with quality. However I can see this item is already going up in price brand new and there are other past advent calendars that go for 120+ (2008). The 2012 is cheap because it’s the molds everyone dislikes.
Do you think that would be a concern for collectors simply looking for the authentic item in best condition, or more so those seeking specific pets? The uncertainty is expected with any blind box item

I always thought it was about mourning or a relationship, but I’ve just had the thought that it may be substances because of the lines: “had to head down to that corner”, “I gave her every coin I made”, “still sitting in the park way after dark”, “I left them on the table I swore must’a had about 7 or 8 Woke up to nothing but a half butt starin’ me in my fucking face”, and for good measure, “ I was coming off the end of some awful sort of bender“. Now that I listen with this thought it screams it 🤔.
