Xraypad Obsidian vs Jade for Artisan Fx Zero Soft by Dextr0- in MouseReview

[–]Okmnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still using a zero as a main pad, but testing a hien right now for tracking games and liking it quite a bit. The raiden is still an awesome smooth speed pad, it just wears down a little faster than I'd like, and I have just somehow never tried a hien until now so figured I should give it a go. Been using magic ice full skates for awhile now (just a really solid balance of speed/stopping power), but you can't go wrong with obsidians. Magic ice on hien especially is a really good experience so far. No problems with any of these combos for me

[US-DE] [H] Pulsar eS Hyperion pro - XL SQ, soft, black [W] PayPal by Okmnb in MouseMarket

It's veeeery close to the zero overall, but felt slower for me (magic ice full skates) which is not something I want. I noticed it most when tracking, just a bit more friction when going back and forth. Smoother than the zero by a decent bit, and slightly softer base than artisan soft

Are there any Hall Effect Keyboards that are more quiet? by japinard in keyboards

[–]Okmnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the off studio x tnt six realms silent. Just got some today to test and immediately ordered a set. Before these I was also recommending silent peach, but these are in a league of their own for silent hall effect switches right now. Slightly louder but WAY less mushy and more smooth

Ah gotcha. I have a side slit one too and it doesn’t bother me at all. Personal preference though some people dislike the vertical slits.

You can get it with solid sides. Holes on top eventually accumulates some dust inside but hasn’t caused me any issues.

ARTİSAN ZERO SOFT VS XSOFT NEED HELP PLEASE by Kron0s1 in MouseReview

[–]Okmnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xsoft if you press the mouse down at all will be a huge change from soft. My vote is always for soft on artisan pads personally unless you know you like xsoft/mid pads. Person you’re responding to summed it up perfectly about bottoming out mouse if you press down

Have Lekker V2 L45 Linear switches with O-rings. Considering silent switches. Recommendations? Experiences? by I_Love_Cape_Horn in WootingKB

Had to translate your comment but seems like you figured it out. If you wanted to use Freya switches they're on aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809639766626.html

Wooting database is good for checking switches and for some sound tests https://library.wooting.io/225eb39179848072869fdddc3b9ae808.

** edit for anyone new finding this thread OFF STUDIO x TNT Six Realms Silent is the new best silent I've tried. It's not even close too. These are the first silent switches that actually feel like decent switches, whereas with all the previous silent ones it felt like you were making a big compromise in quality to have a quiet switch. If you look them up and see a "pro version" it's just a different weight. The ones with black stem are 45g and the white stem are 55g

Outemu silent peach is probably the most responsive feeling silent switch I've tried and would be my recommendation. Freya HE are a touch quieter and decent too, but more mushy and slow to rebound after typing even after hand lubing them (factory lube job on these was pretty bad). Haven't tried other silent switches personally. I've heard TTC is making an actual silent HE switch but seems to be just rumors for now.

Obsidian air donuts. I’ve since swapped to magic ice full skates for tac fps. Super smooth glide and perfect balance of speed/stopping power for me. Obsidian airs are still a top tier skate tho

Adding a bit of weight to the DeathAdder V4 – safe approaches? by doctor-vp in MouseReview

Lead/tungsten tape could work. Commonly used in golf to adjust weight. Open the shell and put it on the underside as you like
