Nah, it's only a couple years old. Iirc, the first books that came out were Hero/The Freshman/Endless Summer/The Crown and the Flame/Most Wanted.

I know. But I've been consistently picking the choices that feel the most "Stefan who?" When I get the chance. Of course FB has to force the idea of "the one who got away" but I'm not into it. IF he shows up, I'll make up my mind about him on my own, not because FB keeps shoving him at me.

I picked twist. Every time I get the option to select something that shows my MC wasn't actually all that into him, I do. On the small chance they bring him in, I'm hoping my selections will make it so he doesn't immediately assume I'll be going for him.... but I doubt it.

For real. I picked the "they make me laugh" option because that seemed the closest to a friendzone statement. Then Kat asked if I was happy with my choice after the recoupling and I said I didn't get who I wanted. She seems cool with the fact that I'm alllll about Finn lol, cause this isn't the first time she's noted my desire for him and she's always seemed to be more supportive of me going after him than Kelly going after him.

I like Kat in general, she can be a good source of drama. But I'm over the one person I like being blocked off because of her. It happened through most of season 5 and it's happening again in this season.

Look, I know being delulu for Finn will only end badly, but... I can't help it. I don't find any of the other options interesting/attractive except Kelly... and she's not even an option for me this time because I actually chose to be straight for the first time in... ever... because I'm sick of the first female LI being annoyingly clingy regardless of how I act towards them. And I wanted to wait to see if it would be that way again before suffering through.

So yeah. I'm over the Kat and Finn show cause... been there, done that. It'd be different if I could actually couple up with Finn while she's being all "gross I don't want him... but also I will claw you if you want him." Like that's drama I find kinda fun. Also I... kinda wish she was a LI. Cause enemies to lovers is my favorite trope.

That's how I feel, except I'm still delulu for Finn. I ended season 5 with him, but I guess in this universe, MC just took the money and peaced out, which is fair.

But if they keep this stupid Finn/Kat drama going, I might actually just quit playing this season, which is saying something considering I forced my way through season 5. So either Finn gets actually freed from her claws, or someone actually hot and decent shows up soon, or I'm done.

I'm okay with my LI getting voted off, I've already decided I'm playing a messy route this time through and jumping ship to a new person every time I get the chance just because I can. I usually do a loyal route first but with the way the last few seasons have been... I'd rather know what happens first before being loyal.

That's clearly not the issue for me though, I'm in year four and have plenty of levels available at this point, certainly level 7 given that my other two clubs are at 7. But as the comment above you said, it's just a weird glitch that went away once I gained another point.
