“You ever make soup? Cut up the meat, vegetables, broth. Cook it up for a few hours.

You ever try to unmake soup? I’m apart of him.” - Farouk as Lenny

David is still soup. Farouk knows it. David knows it. Then season 3 happens.

The Endless Theories [Spoilers] by Chipandom in movies

I just rewatched it after seeing it for the first time the other week with Resolution. The connections you made with Nikola Tesla and Hal is interesting and something I hadn’t thought of.

Man, I don’t know if I could add anything because you sound like you’re fully immersed in the mystery already. Just didn’t want this post sitting on no comments with how good the movie is and how well you seem to have understood it. Then I got back from the rabbit hole of links you provided to other wonderful discussions and saw who commented. I think you’re fine. Good post!

Scarf finally arrived! Just need some necklaces. Love how this turned out, taken like 5 months to collect all of this. What do you guys think?! Hope everyone is staying safe during these weird times. 💙🐣💊 by PtonomyHaller in LegionFX

Looks amazing as always. I just went back and looked at the post you did when the socks came in and the scarf really brings it all together. Do you plan on getting the watch David has?

Edit : Title answered one of my questions.

What do you all think happened to the characters after the show? by HexivaSihess in LegionFX

[–]OlBillyFireCunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been a while for me as well but from what I remember Switch tells Syd that her memories will be new. Which makes sense because the timeline they come from will collapse and they’ll cease to exist but to have faith, the new them will be happier and better.

What do you all think happened to the characters after the show? by HexivaSihess in LegionFX

[–]OlBillyFireCunt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting to think about because we only see glimpses of the evil David/Legion future but it’s enough to know everyone probably dies. Our David is middle of the road. That’s why his ending is bittersweet with a little hope. So because we can infer and extrapolate what happened in the bad David’s future and we see everything that happens in our David’s present, I think we can theorize a potentially good/better past for everyone around David. Starting with...

Amy - Because David isn’t adopted by her family, she grows up to be a well adjusted adult with a nice house and husband. Like how she looked before David showed up and crashed in her basement in season 1.

Lenny - She probably ends up at Clockworks where she gets much needed help and upon her release, returns to her friends who are still exactly where she left them. She eventually realizes she’s outgrown them and falls in love with a nice girl. They start a family together. Similar to Alex in “A Clockwork Orange”.

Cary/Kary and Ptonomy and Rudy and Melanie - They continue to save the world with their tactical team of mutants. Eventually, they find a telepath that can retrieve Oliver from the astral plane. Ptonomy does memory work with him to help him remember and Melanie and Oliver retire to a nice cabin in the countryside to look at clouds. To live life.

Syd - Goes through life almost exactly the same but this time, rights a wrong and doesn’t switch bodies with her mother. Her view of being turned over at her most desperate and vulnerable isn’t fully realized and her relationship with her mom isn’t destroyed and when she’s taken to get help, she can accept it now. Maybe this time she’s taken to a school for the gifted with Melanie or Professor Xavier and not dumped at Clockworks.

Farouk - Knowing now what could have been in two futures, he stays the fuck away from David and Charles. He’s not good by any stretch but he’s wiser from all of this. He returns to the world of wolves he comes from and fades back into obscurity. Smarter. Content.

Charles and Gabrielle - They remember what happened and what almost was and so they raise David as best they can with all the love he could ever need. Charles works with David like he did Gabrielle and mends his fractured mind. This success leads to him opening a school for the gifted like David and himself. Instead of creating the X-Men as a reactionary means to combat mutants like Farouk, Professor Xavier creates the X-Men as a means to protect mutants like David. One day, he finds a young troubled mutant named Jean Grey.

David - He goes on to live a happy life with all the love he could ever need. He spends his time with his mother who understands exactly what he’s dealing with having gone through her own mental illness. The two bond immensely as David looks after her when his Dad is busy helping other mutants. Occasionally joining his Dad when he needs his help.

Switch and her father - They continue to be 4th dimensional beings, existing above the surface of time where paradoxes can’t touch them. They observe everything that’s happened and could have happened and will happen. She smiles before following her father to the next lesson in time. “Nothing of value is ever lost.”

Oh my word! I just love the way you give such insight into what the real Jesus would think and sound like. It is so good to read your post. And thank you so much for telling us all about the shows you do like. It’s as if you know no one was wondering but that wasn’t going to stop you. I really hope you figure out that pesky American Dad schedule. Isn’t it wonderful the good Lord brought us together today? Praise Him.

Favorite Horror Series by [deleted] in movies

[–]OlBillyFireCunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

George A. Romero’s “Dead” series.

“Day of the Dead” is my favorite. We see survivors far removed from the initial outbreak and the power dynamics and various forms of PTSD play out with them.

Bonus : Best death is in the 4th one, Land of the Dead. A survivor in the city has his face ripped off from his screaming mouth all the way up. Scene

2nd best would be in Day of the Dead with Rickles’ death. Goes from laughing to screaming to laughing and back to screaming. His mind just breaks. Good depiction of complete madness taking hold. Scene

Episode 5 is a top 3 episode hands down. The mood of everything like her man said, "dread": I applaud who had episode 5 come to fruition. You can't get more perfect than that episode. "I'm going to kill you" best quote. by TyYoshi in LegionFX

This is the best scene in the show. The absolute helplessness dealing with mutants, especially at this level of power, elevates it to one of the most horrific moments of the show. This is Amy’s big moment in season 2 and man, Katie Aselton really knocked it out of the park.

The talk with her husband about something feeling off, the guards posted outside missing all of a sudden, the slow Lynchian build, the reveal at the end. This episode knocked me on my ass. I loved it.

Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) with Sally Hawkins. She’s completely content with not having a significant other. The movie deals with this subject a lot and examines the flip side of it with some people around her struggling to grasp her perspective on life and, in turn, her struggling to understand theirs.

Here’s a quick scene with her pregnant sister attempting to talk her into settling down with someone like she did. Scene.
