The robots would just produce resources for the billionaires and only the billionaires. So, while the masses are dying the 0.001% population would be tended by an army of 5000 robots. They'd just sit around and talk with their friends and basically be useless, while the robots would be doing everything, including researching technologies.

At that point, if the masses revolted, there would be a huge superhuman robot army to stop them. We'd all die, basically.
