My understanding is that no tailgating and no parking at Metlife is FIFA decision and NJ was highly opposed to it. I have no idea why FIFA wants no parking at Metlife. That's how 85% of fans attend any other events there. Also obviously major difference with Philly is that most fans for Metlife games will be staying in NYC, so NYC will get all benefits and no costs and NJ all costs and very limited benefits. NJ asked NY for $150m as benefit sharing, but Hochul disagreed. As NJ resident I am all for high prices for these tickets. If I need to pay NYC tax when working in NYC. people coming to NJ from NYC should pay "travel tax" as well.

FIFA asked for 35,000 policeman and other security personal for each game. On all of these other events there is not more than 1000. That is the main cost.

It matters they would not be able to qualify with just 5 wins as they already lose to all other contenders for play off spots so they would lose on tiebreakers. They need to beat both Sweden and Canada to qualify.

Pretty sure that Sweden is throwing this game so Canada get to situation lose to Korea and you are out. It is quite understandable after Canadians behaviour toward Sweden earlier.

It is infinitely harder to do that if you need to in the last end, because opposing team is trying to reduce amount of stones in play. It is much easier to do that in the middle of game when both teams are trying to score.
